A homeowner in Fargo, ND, was cleaning around their home when they noticed a pungent smell around their home. Unsure of the cause, the homeowner worried there could be a larger issue at hand. Wanting a professional opinion, the homeowner began looking into "crawl space repair services near me". At the top of the search results was us, American Waterworks, so the homeowner decided to take a closer look at the services we provide. Solution

After the estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of Ian, one of our Design Specialists. Ian arrived at the home, introduced himself to the homeowner, and began a thorough inspection of the crawl space. During his inspection, Ian discovered the odor was coming from the crawl space. To stop the odor, Ian recommended encapsulating the entire crawl space. After hearing the benefits of encapsulation, the homeowner decided to go ahead with the proposal. Once they were given the okay, the proposal was passed to our Logistics team to build and schedule the project. Next, the plans were assigned to our Foreman, Franklin, and his crew to begin. Franklin and his team made the short drive to the home and began the installation. First, the crew cleared the debris out of the crawl space. Once the debris was cleared, Franklin and his crew installed Drainage Matting on the crawl space floor. Drainage Matting is an extremely durable matting that creates drainage space and thermal breaks between CleanSpace and the ground below. Next, the crew installed CleanSpace on the crawl space walls and floors. CleanSpace is a heavy 20-mil thick liner that acts as a vapor barrier for the crawl space. Finally, the crew attached Foamax, an advanced polyisocyanurate foam insulation panel that is designed with a white foil finish. Franklin and his crew completed the installation, so they cleaned up their materials and left the home.
