Basement Gets Stabilized and Waterproofed in Minnesota Lake, MN

Challenge

Bob S. in Minnesota Lake, MN realized that his old beaver system was not able to keep up with the flow of water leaking into his basement. He also saw that one of the foundation walls in his basement was cracked. He decided to contact American Waterworks for a free estimate. We sent one of our Design Specialists to his home to inspect his wet basement and damaged foundation. Our Specialist determined that we could solve Bob’s challenges by installing PowerBraces and our WaterGuard drainage system. Bob was pleased with the solution we developed, so he scheduled the installation.

Solution

Our production team removed the old beaver system and the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor. They installed the PowerBraces and secured them to the wall before laying the drainage system. Once the WaterGuard was laid, they filled back the gaps in the concrete with rock and then replaced the concrete. The installation took a couple of days to complete, but Bob is now confident in the stability of his home and he has peace of mind that his basement will remain dry. After the installation, he contacted us to let us know how pleased he is with our work!
