Cracked and Bowing Foundation Restored in Forest City, IA

Linda S. in Forest City, IA was concerned about the cracked and bowing walls in her foundation and the potential damage it could cause. She researched a foundation repair contractor and was glad to see that we specialize in foundation repair. She contacted us and set an appointment for a FREE onsite estimate.She approved of the proposed solution and moved forward with an install date.

Solution

In order to protect her foundation, our Design Specialist recommended that we install 17 Geo-Lock Wall Anchors around the foundation of her home. She knew how costly it could be to replace a foundation entirely and decided to proceed with the project to permanently stabilize the walls.

The production crew drilled small holes through the damaged wall and excavated the yard outside. Then, they inserted long metal rods and secured each end with anchors. They tightened the anchors completely, and the wall stabilized and started to straighten. Wall anchors should be tightened over time to continue the process of straightening the wall. Lastly, they installed SilverGlo Wall Insulation along the outside of the foundation. SilverGlo™ boasts a radiant barrier, which reflects heat back into the home for ultimate energy savings.
