Cracked Garage Foundation Stabilized with Wall Anchors

Challenge

Tina S. in Houston, MN noticed some large cracks in the foundation along the walls in her garage. The walls had started to bow, and she was worried about the potential problems her damaged foundation could cause. She contacted American Waterworks to learn more about our foundation repair solutions. 

Solution

We permanently repaired Tina’s garage foundation wall by installing seven Geo-Lock Wall Anchors. We drilled small holes through the block foundation and inserted long metal rods through the walls and into the soil surrounding the garage. Then, the crew secured the rods by placing plates on each end and tightening them. The anchors immediately halted any further deterioration, and as they are tightened over time, they will gradually straighten the wall. The crew also installed SentrySeal Waterproofing Membrane to the exterior wall to prevent water seepage. Tina’s garage foundation is now permanently repaired and backed by a lifetime warranty.
