Damaged Foundation and Wet Basement Restored in Riceville, IA

Challenge

Pete B. in Riceville, IA was suffering from a wet basement and damaged foundation walls. He had multiple cracked and inward bowing walls and water was seeping through. He did his research and was glad to learn that American Waterworks has been the leading foundation repair contractor in the region for 30 years! He contacted us to receive a FREE estimate, so we sent a Design Specialist to his home to evaluate the situation and propose a permanent solution to fit his needs.

Solution

We were able to restore Pete’s basement by installing 14 Geo-lock wall anchors around the damaged foundation, which immediately halted the deterioration and began to straighten the walls. Then our production crew installed a full perimeter of our WaterGuard drainage system, our recommended TripleSafe sump pump, and our CleanSpace vapor barrier. These waterproofing products, along with our dehumidifier system, work together to keep his basement a dry and healthy space. Pete is happy he made the investment to protect his home.
