Wall Stabilization and Waterproofing in North Mankato, MN

Challenge

Richard R. in North Mankato, MN contacted American Waterworks after he was referred by a friend who just had a projected completed and was happy with the results. Richard was building a new house and noticed there was a significant amount of water leaking through the block foundation. He didn’t want to deal with water problems in the future and wanted the project completed before his home was finished. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Dylan Woitas, to meet with Richard, evaluate the situation, and propose a custom designed solution to fit his needs.

Solution

Our Foreman, Arturo Mares, and his production crew first installed 20 CarbonArmor strips along the foundation to strengthen and stabilize the foundation walls. Next, the crew began the waterproofing project by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement and through the middle of the floor to make a trench for the full perimeter WaterGuard drainage system and feed line. Then, they installed our UltraSump Zoeller pump with our battery backup. They completed the project with the installation of the CleanSpace vapor barrier along the walls to further protect from moisture and mold. Water is now properly guided through the WaterGuard to the sump pump, and from there is expelled from the home. Richard is pleased with the results, and happy he can rest easy in his new home knowing our products are backed by a lifetime warranty.
