Foundation Repair and Waterproofing in Westby, WI

Challenge

Donna B. in Westby, WI contacted American Waterworks after being referred to us by a previous satisfied customer. She had an old Beaver System in her home, but water had been leaking into her basement after heavy rains, and she was ready to get it fixed. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Mike Radosevich, to meet with Donna, inspect her home, and propose a custom designed solution. During Mike’s inspection, he also noticed that the foundation walls were bowing and cracking He recommended our foundation repair products and our waterproofing system. Donna was impressed with the presentation and our products, and she moved forward with an installation date.

Solution

Our Foreman, Matt Zeller, and his production crew were successfully able to waterproof Donna’s basement by first removing the concrete around the perimeter of the space and laying 124 feet of our WaterGuard drainage system. Next, they installed our SuperSump sump pump and our CleanSpace vapor barrier along the walls to further protect the basement from moisture and mold growth. Water is now properly guided through the WaterGuard to the sump pump, and from there is discharged from the home.

We were also able to permanently stabilize Donna’s foundation with the installation of 15 Geo-Lock wall anchors and 4 PowerBraces around the damaged foundation. Both the anchors and braces can be tightened over time, which will gradually straighten the walls and improve the stability. The entire project took 3 days to complete, but Donna is now confident in the stability of her home, and her peace of mind has been restored!
