Damaged Foundation and Wet Basement Restored in Rochester, MN
Challenge
Charles Z. in Rochester, MN contacted American Waterworks after seeing one of our commercials on TV. He had water seeping into his basement, and it was starting to do some damage to his property. He was concerned about the health implications, and he wanted a permanent solution. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Dylan Woitas, to meet with Charles, evaluate the situation and propose a custom-designed solution for his home. After Dylan’s inspection, he was able to recommend a combination of our foundation repair and waterproofing products to ensure his basement would remain a stable and dry space. Charles was impressed with Dylan’s inspection and our products, and he moved forward with the project.
Solution
Our Foreman, Jose Castillo, and his production crew were successfully able to stabilize the damaged basement walls with the installation of 10 Push Piers and 10 CarbonArmor strips around the deteriorating foundation.
The crew began the waterproofing project with removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement and installing 118 feet of our WaterGuard drainage system and 24 feet of feed line through the middle of the floor. Next, they installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump in the corner and an arrangement of our Basement To Beautiful and Foamax Panels along the walls. The crew completed the job with installing our RockWell Egress Window. Lastly, they installed our SaniDry dehumidifier to take care of any humidity. Water is now properly guided through the WaterGuard to the sump pump. From there, the water is expelled from the home through the discharge line. Charles was amazed by the transformation, and we are happy we could help restore his peace of mind!
