Geo-Lock Wall Anchors Secure Foundation in Baldwin, WI
Challenge
Pamela O. in Baldwin, WI contacted American Waterworks after doing some research online. Her basement walls were bowing and cracking, and water was seeping into her home. She was concerned about the structural integrity of her home, and she knew she needed to address the issue before it got any worse. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Shane Nephew, to meet with Pamela and evaluate the situation. Shane recommended our Geo-Lock Wall Anchors to stabilize and straighten the foundation. Pamela approved of the plan and moved forward with the installation.
Solution
Our Foreman, Jose Castillo, and his production crew began the project by excavating the soil surrounding the home to gain access to the foundation. They installed 11 Geo-Lock Wall Anchors by drilling small holes through the block foundation and inserting long metal rods through the walls and into the soil surrounding the foundation. Then, the crew secured the rods by placing plates on each end and tightening them. The anchors immediately halted any further deterioration, and as they are tightened over time, they will gradually straighten the wall. The crew wrapped up the project by installing our SentrySeal Waterproofing Membrane to the exterior foundation and our SilverGlo Insulation System to hold back moisture and ensure energy-efficient insulation. Pamela is happy with the results, and we are glad we could restore her peace of mind!
