GeoLock Wall Anchors Installed in Thornton, IA
Challenge
John F. of Thornton, IA had bowing walls in the foundation of his home, and his house was starting to settle. He gave American Waterworks a call to have a Design Specialist come out for a Free Estimate. Reed Hudson came out to John's home to inspect the problem and come up with a solution. Reed's proposal involved the installation of GeoLock Wall Anchors, which are made to install quickly and efficiently, and with little to no disruption to any home. After John got all of his questions answered, he approved of Reed's proposal and followed through with the project.
Solution
Our foreman, Brandon Wiskow, and his production team started the GeoLock Wall Anchor installation by digging ten holes around the outside perimeter of the home. Then, they installed a metal rod in each hole from the outside soil to the inside foundation. Next, they tightened an anchor on each side of the rod, allowing the walls to straighten out to their normal position. To complete the process, our production team covered the holes with soil and made the site cleaner than when they found it. This quick and efficient installation from American Waterworks put John's mind at ease, and he was extremely satisfied to see his renovated brick foundation.
