Foundation Wall Repaired in Hillman, MN

A male homeowner in Hillman, MN was experiencing this same problem. Thankfully, American Waterworks performs foundation repair in his service area so he got in contact with our office staff and scheduled a FREE Estimate with one of our expert Design Specialists. Our Design Specialist went to his home to carefully examine his problem and come up with a solution. The homeowner was very appreciative of our time and was confident in the proposal, so he went ahead with the repairs and scheduled an installation date.

Solution

Our Foreman and his crew began the project by introducing themselves to the homeowner and answering any last-minute questions that they had. After a thorough introduction, our team went right to work and installed our PowerBraces around the entire wall perimeter. Our PowerBraces will stabilize the wall in its current position without any further adjustment.

PowerBrace Installation Step-by-Step:

1. Cutting the wall braces - Before the PowerBrace is installed in the home, it must be cut to size based on the wall height.

2. Secure the floor joist hardware - The top of each brace is attached to the floor joist near the mudsill at the top of the wall. The bracket is then bolted to the floor joist and is made to tighten and adjust after the installation.

3. Fine-tune the PowerBrace positions - Our team will use a level to fine-tune the position of each beam.

4. Attach the braces to the floor - Each beam is attached to the concrete floor with a unique bolt-in place bracket.

5. Straighten the walls - The bracket that anchors each beam to the floor joist includes a bolt that can be tightened over time to advance the beam. This forces a bowed wall back to its original position.
