Cracked Foundation Wall Repaired in Bismarck, ND

Challenge

Ben K. of Bismarck, ND had a crack in the corner of their foundation, and he wanted to get it fixed before it got any worse. He got in contact with American Waterworks and scheduled a FREE estimate with our Design Specialist, Ian. Ian went to Ben's house, carefully inspected his foundation, and determined a plan that would work for him and his foundation repair needs. Ben was confident in Ian's proposal of our Helical Piers and our concrete replacement, so he went ahead with the installation.

Solution

Our Foreman, Cameron, and his crew started the project by removing the soil surrounding the foundation wall and installing seven of our Helical Piers, which are designed to create a solid supporting base that transfers the weight of the home downwards towards strong, supportive soil. Next, our Foreman, Sam, sprayed frost protection over it to protect the foundation during the cold winter months. To complete that part of the project, our crew poured rock over the frost protection to prevent water moisture from invading the property and backfilled it with soil.

In the next part of the project, our crew replaced Ben's concrete walkway with a new and improved concrete replacement. After the project was completed, Ben was very happy with the work that was completed and had a great experience from start to finish with Ian, Cameron, and his crew.
