Distribution Center Get Stabilized in Redby, MN
Challenge
Renae from Redby, MN had begun to notice that the foundation of her place of work was beginning to show signs of sinkage. She noticed that the sinkage was noticeable enough to cause the concrete in her business to crack. She wanted to fix the issue before it could get any worse, so she did research on companies offering the services she needed and found us. When she called, we set her up with our FREE estimate. A few weeks later, our Design Specialists Ian, headed out to the property to do his inspection.
Solution
Once Ian completed his walkthrough, he was able to make recommendations as to how we could help. First, he wanted to use our helical piers to address the sinking foundation. He explained to Renae that these helical-shaped shafts work to dig the pier deep into the ground before transferring the weight of the structure to the pier. He explained that these piers are typically used for lighter loads, perfect for the sections she needed to be stabilized. He wanted to follow the piers with our PolyLevel concrete lifting solution. He explained that our PolyLevel is an expanding polyurethane foam that works to fill the gaps caused by soil erosion and lift the concrete back to its original position. Renae agreed and work began a few weeks later.
Our Foreman, Cameron, ended up installing 8 of our helical piers along the foundation of the home. Another one of our Foreman was able to lift the interior concrete of the business, bringing it back to its original state. Now Renae can resume business without worries of uneven concrete or a sinking foundation getting in the way.
