Sinking Foundation Gets Raised in Henning, MN
Challenge
Josh, from Henning, MN got in contact with us when he began to notice that a portion of the foundation of his home was showing significant signs of sinkage. Afraid that the issue would become worse over time, he began to do some research about companies in the area that could perform the work he needed to be done. When he finally came across our company, he decided to call our office. We set him up with our FREE estimate and a few weeks later our Design Specialist, Kole, headed out to the property. Once he completed his inspection, he made his recommendation.
Solution
Kole wanted to use our helical pier system to stabilize the portion of the failing foundation. He explained to Josh that our helical piers are the preferred method for lifting lighter loads. He went on to say that these piers owe their success to the helical-shaped shafts on the end of the blade, as they anchor the piers deep in the soil before the weight of the home is transferred to the piers. Jeff agreed and work began shortly after.
Our Foreman, Cameron, and his team ended up installing 9 of our helical piers to the foundation of the home. When the work was completed, Josh was happy to know that he no longer had to worry about his sinking foundation.
