Basement Walls Strengthened In Climax, MN

Challenge

Andrea from Climax, MN, contacted us when she noticed that her basement walls were beginning to bow inward, showing signs of failing. Andrea was afraid that if left unresolved, she would risk compromising the home's structural integrity. She called American Waterworks for a FREE estimate, and shortly after the appointment was scheduled, our Design Specialist, Ian, headed out to the property.

Ian recommended that Andrea invest in our PowerBrace Wall System and GeoLock Wall Anchors to correct the issue.

Solution

Once approved, our Foreman and his crew got to work. First, 12 GeoLock Wall Anchors were installed; this system permanently stabilizes foundation walls by anchoring them to the hard-packed virgin soil beyond the foundation. Our Foreman explained to Andrea that the anchors can be tightened over time. Then, the team got to work strategically placing PowerBraces around the basement, inserting 12 PowerBraces to stabilize the wall further. These were also installed with WaterGuard brackets for future waterproofing. The PowerBrace system is an I-shaped beam that stabilizes and helps straighten the bow of the wall over time. The PowerBrace system is drilled into the home's support beams and the concrete on which the hhouselies.

Andrea's peace of mind was restored, and she was glad she trusted our team to ensure that her basement walls were no longer an issue.
