Faulty Foundation Gets Stabilized in Arthur, ND
Challenge
Nathan, from Arthur, ND, noticed that he had cracks running down the interior of his basement walls. He was concerned that if he left the issue unresolved, he could run the risk of the cracks worsening. After doing research about companies offering our services, he called our office and we set him up with our FREE, no-obligation estimate.
Solution
Our Design Specialist completed his thorough inspection, and recommended the use of our push pier system. He explained to Nathan that this particular system is made of steel and is driven deep into the soil beneath a foundation to solve settlement problems. Push piers can be installed inside or outside your foundation walls and are not visible once the repair is complete. He went on to say that, in many scenarios, push piers not only stop settlement but lift the foundation back to its original position, closing cracks and improving window and door operation. The homeowner agreed with the recommendations and work began a few weeks later.
Our Foreman, Domenic, and his team began the process by strategically plotting where the piers would be placed to be the most effective. Next, they began to excavate around the foundation of the home. Then they installed the piers and brackets onto the footing of the home, and hydraulically drove the piers deep into the soil as an anchor. After they finished the install, they back filled the soil and called it a day. After the project was complete, Nate was happy to know that he didn't have to worry about his faulty foundation any longer!
