Boat House at Risk in Annandale, MN

Challenge

A customer in Annandale, MN, was spending time with their family on the lake when they discovered their boat house was weakening. Not wanting to lose their boat house, the homeowner searched for a company to provide a solution. After seeing the excellent work they have done around Annandale, the homeowner chose to work with American Waterworks. The customer called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. After the appointment was set, we sent our Design Specialist, Shane, to the home to evaluate the boat house. After completing his detailed survey of the boat house, Shane determined the boat house walls needed to be permanently stabilized. The customer agreed with Shane's suggested plan and the crew was assigned to the job.

Solution

Our Foreman, Arturo, and his crew arrived at the vacation home to begin their work. First, the crew prepared the boat house for the stabilization process. Next, the crew installed four PowerBraces on the west wall and then four more on the east wall. Once the PowerBraces were put into place, the crew attached them to the floor and fine-tuned them into place. The customer also asked for the crew to include the tightening kit. With this kit, the customer will be able to straighten the boat house wall over time. Finally, the crew cleaned up the job site.
