Challenge

A homeowner in Westby, WI, was concerned regarding the status of their foundation. Knowing they needed a professional, the homeowner began searching for the best foundation repair in their area. One of the first search results was us, American Waterworks. The homeowner was impressed after looking into our services and saw our previous projects. Soon after, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate on our website. When the estimate details were finalized, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Dustin. When he arrived, Dustin began his examination of the foundation and crawl space. Dustin found that their crawl space was in desperate need of attention.

Solution

Dustin notified the homeowner of his discoveries, but he also provided them with suggestions to solve the issue. The homeowner knew we would solve their issue, so they agreed with Dustin's suggestions. When the plans were approved, Dustin directed the plans to the assigned crew. Our Foreman, Raul, and his crew arrived at the home and began the project. First, the crew needed to clean all the debris from the crawl space. Once the debris was removed, the crew could go in and install the supplemental beam. Once the supplement beam was secured, the crew shifted their focus to installing the SmartJacks in the crawl space. SmartJacks provides solid support for sagging and undersized beams, restoring stability and straightness to sagging floor joists in a crawl space. Next, the crew laid down Drainage Matting, a mat that gives water flooding into your crawl space a passage underneath your liner. Once in place, the crew installed CleanSpace on the crawl space floors and walls. CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that prevents leaks and mold growth in homes. Additionally, the crew installed CleanSpace along all the basement walls. After everything was installed, the crew cleaned the home and left it as clean as they arrived.
