Failing Foundation Walls Get Transformed in Pipestone, MN
Challenge
A homeowner from Pipestone, MN, got in touch with us when she realized that she had a stair-step crack running the length of her foundation. Not wanting the issue to worsen, she decided to call American Waterworks and set up her FREE estimate. A few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Eric H, headed out to the home.
Solution
Once Eric finished his inspection, he informed the homeowner that we could address the failing wall with our GeoLock wall anchors. This innovative system is made of galvanized steel and works to permanently stabilize foundations by anchoring walls to the hard-packed virgin soil beyond the foundation of the home. He finished by saying that after the installation, wall anchors can be tightened over time to further straighten your foundation walls as the house settles over the years. The homeowner agreed with the proposed work and the job was scheduled for a few weeks later.
On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Kiko, and his team were able to install 16 of our GeoLock anchors around the basement of the home. Now, our customer can rest easy knowing her foundation issues have been addressed!
