Settling Home Stabilized in Bismarck, ND
Challenge
A homeowner in Bismarck, ND, noticed their laminate was beginning to rip apart. Unsure of the cause, the homeowner began searching for answers. The homeowners knew this project was bigger than they expected, so they searched for an expert. After looking through several companies, the homeowner knew there was only one company for the job, American Waterworks. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of Ian, one of our Design Specialists.
Solution
Once Ian arrived, he began his thorough investigation of the concrete and exterior foundation. Ian had a hunch about the issues, but he wanted to inspect all aspects of the home to ensure he was correct. Following his inspection, Ian confirmed that the home's foundation was struggling from settlement and needed to be permanently stabilized. Ian recommended installing Push Piers around the foundation and lifting the sunken concrete with PolyLevel. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner agreed with Ian's recommendations. Once they received the stamp of approval, Ian passed the plans along to our Logistics team to build the project. Once the project was built, it was assigned to our Foreman, Charlie, and his crew. Charlie and his crew traveled to the home and began the project. First, Charlie and his crew installed 13 Push Piers along the north foundation wall. Push Piers are rugged steel piers that feature a patent-pending external sleeve that strengthens the pier at the critical tension point below the bracket. Once the Push Piers were secured, the crew installed SentrySeal and SilverGlo on the outside of the home. These products efficiently insulate, hold back moisture, and ensure energy-efficient insulation. Once the foundation was properly secured, the crew shifted their focus to lifting the interior concrete floor back to its original state using PolyLevel. PolyLevel is our polyurethane foam injection solution that lifts struggling and sinking concrete. Once the interior concrete floor was lifted, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was delighted to know their basement was properly lifted and leveled. If you notice your home is showing signs of settlement, sign up for your FREE estimate today!
