Failing Walls Get Fixed in Plymouth, MN

Challenge

A homeowner from Plymouth, MN, was in her basement one day when she noticed a concerning crack running the length of the wall. She hadn't noticed it before and was instantly worried about what it could mean for her home. She began to look for foundation professionals in Minnesota, and quickly found our website. She signed up for her FREE estimate, and several weeks later, Shane N, one of our Design Specialists, was headed out to the home.

Solution

When Shane arrived, he got right to work assessing the home. When he finished, he informed the homeowner that foundation walls are designed to support loads from above, not from the side. When side pressure on your walls exceeds their ability to withstand the force, they begin to crack and bow. Regardless of the cause, Shane was confident that our GeoLock wall anchors would solve the problem. Wall anchors counteract soil pressure by anchoring the wall to stable, undisturbed soil outside your home. Shane went on to say that, once installed, the anchors could be tightened over time to further straighten foundation walls. The homeowner liked the sound of having a system that could grow with the home and the job was scheduled for some time later.

On the day of the project, our team, led by their Foreman, Juan P, successfully installed 7 of our GeoLock anchors throughout the space. Now, our customer can put her foundation repair worries behind her!
