A homeowner in Saint Paul, MN that her basement wall had started caving in and was concerned for its stability so he decided to look into foundation repairs in the area. The homeowner found our website and was impressed with our 5-star reviews so he decided to contact us to schedule his FREE estimate.

Solution

One of our Design Specialist arrived at the scheduled date to inspect the homeowner's concerns and to answer any questions. He explained to the homeowner that one of the common causes of a failing foundation is hydrostatic pressure. Hydrostatic pressure is pressure that is applied by a liquid. When water saturates the soil surrounding your foundation walls, it applies pressure impacting the wall's stability. To fix this issue, our Design Specialist recommended our GeoLock wall anchors that permanently stabilize foundation walls and can be tightened to straighten walls over time. After reviewing the proposal, the homeowner happily agreed and decided to move forward with the project.

In a couple of months, our Foreman, Kevin M., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The GeoLocks are installed by digging a hole several feet away from the foundation. Then, an earth anchor is placed and attached to the interior wall. Both anchor plates are connected by a small steel pole that runs through the ground. The crew installed a total of 7 GeoLocks and once they were done, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
