Foundation Repair Photo Album: Cracked Foundation in Norwood Young America, MN

Lincoln R. in Norwood Young America, MN had two cracked foundation walls in his basement. Water had started leaking through the cracks into the basement and it was causing water damage to his property. He had worked with us previously to repair his concrete and he had a positive experience, so he contacted us to restore his foundation. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Chad Johnson, to his home to inspect his foundation walls and give him a FREE estimate. Chad recommended that we install wall anchors along the two cracked walls and an egress window to stabilize his foundation and keep water out of his basement. Lincoln agreed, so he scheduled the installation. Our production team installed the wall anchors by drilling holes into the brick walls to the soil outside of the home. They inserted long metal rods and secured each end with anchors. Once they tightened the anchors, the wall started to straighten and stabilize. Wall anchors can continue to be tightened over time to continuously improve the stability of the wall. Then, they installed the egress window by removing the old window and a portion of the wall, so the new window could be installed. They secured the new window and window well. Lastly, they replaced the soil around the home. The combination of the window and anchor installation has kept Lincoln’s basement a secure and dry space.
