Foundation Repair Photo Album: Damaged Basement Restored in Decorah, IA

We sent a Design Specialist to her home to evaluate the situation and to propose a unique solution that fit her needs. She approved of the plan and moved forward with the project.  Our production crew began the project with drilling small holes through the damaged walls and dug corresponding holes in the yard outside. Then, they inserted long metal rods and secured each end with anchors. They tightened the anchors completely, and the wall stabilized and started to straighten. Wall anchors should be tightened over time to continue the process of straightening the wall. Hide-away anchor covers were also installed to conceal the anchors and make the basement more visually appealing. Next, the team installed our CleanSpace wall vapor barrier to provide protection against mold growth and to give the basement a clean appearance. Marcia also purchased a SaniDry XP Dehumidifer to ensure her basement was protected from excess moisture. The SaniDry XP removes up to 109 liters of water per day and is more powerful and energy efficient than ever! Lastly, the team replaced 2 of the old basement windows with our EverLast windows and SunHouse window wells for a better looking, more energy-efficient solution. Marcia was satisfied with the finished project, and happy she could transform her basement without the need to call separate contractors!
