She wanted to sell her home, but knew she needed some foundation repair and a radon mitigation system installed. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Eric Hazelton, to meet with Gina, evaluate the situation, and propose a custom designed solution that would fit her needs. After his inspection, Eric was able to recommend our wall anchors and SmartJacks to stabilize the space, our crawl space encapsulation and waterproofing services, and our radon mitigation system. Gina was happy to learn that she could take care of these issues without the need to call separate contractors, and she scheduled the project! Our Foreman, Jose Castillo, and his production team were able to stabilize Gina’s crawl space with the installation of 9 SmartJacks and 53 feet of supplemental beam. Next, our Radon Mitigation Foreman, Dakota Merchlewitz, quickly and effectively installed the radon mitigation system. Jose’s team then installed drainage matting along the floor of the crawl space, encapsulated the space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier, and sealed it with spray foam for additional insulation. Lastly, our Foreman, Jesus Covarrubias, and his crew stabilized the bowing foundation wall with the installation of 6 Geo-Lock anchors. Gina was overjoyed with the entire process and impressed with the quick, clean installation by our crews. We are happy we were able to provide a positive experience for her!

Radon Mitigation Installation Cannon Falls, MN

A hole was drilled through the floor in the basement to insert a PVC pipe and create a suction point for the radon gas. Then the gas is vented through the pipe and out of the home. The "J" on the U-tube indicates the system is on and functioning properly.

SmartJack Installation

To stabilize the damaged crawl space, our crew installed crawl space support jacks to help restore the structure. It will help the floors stay even and stop any structural sagging upstairs.

To promote good drainage along the crawl space floor, we installed our drainage matting. This dimpled plastic sheet is especially important to use in a dirt-floored crawl space.

Geo-Lock Wall Anchors Installed

The crew installed the plates on either end of the rod and tightened the anchors. The anchors secure and stabilize the wall and can be tightened over time as the wall gradually moves back into place.
