Nina from Charles City, IA, got in contact with us when she began to notice that one of her basement walls was beginning to bow inward. She called in and spoke with one of our Customer Care Representatives about scheduling her FREE estimate. Soon, one of our Design Specialists, Mitchell, was out at her property to do a thorough inspection to assess the damage, diagnose the cause, and see what could be done to help Nina. When he was done he found that the damage to the basement was being caused by the soil outside of the foundation being pushed into the wall in such a way that it was causing the wall to bow. Mitchell recommended that Nina take action right away and suggested our PowerBrace system to help stabilize the failing wall. Our PowerBrace is an I-beam system attached to the problem wall and makes stabilization and straightening possible over a period of time. To go along with this system, Mitchell recommended the usage of our ShotLock solution, which would call for the steel mesh and rebar to be installed between the braces. Next, the PowerBrace system would be encased in 4-6' of concrete, sealing the system to the wall and providing extra stability.  Our Foreman and his crew began work in the coming weeks.
