Radon Mitigation in Eastman, WI

Challenge

Jim H. in Eastman, WI received high results after testing for radon in his home. He had learned about the serious dangers of radon and was concerned about his health and safety. After doing some more research online, he contacted American Waterworks for more information on our Radon Mitigation System. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Brian Ramirez, to meet with Jim and propose a custom designed solution for his home. He approved of the plan and chose to have our Mitigation System installed as soon as possible.

Solution

Our radon mitigation specialists drilled a hole through the concrete basement to create a suction point for the gas. Then, they ran the piping up the basement wall, to outside of the home, and up to the roof. A fan is installed at the top of the PVC pipe to ensure that the radon gas is being pushed away from the home. The post mitigation test results showed that his home is now a much safer environment. The installation took only one day to complete, and Jim is glad he took action to protect his and his family’s health.
