Radon Mitigation System Installed in Wilmont, MN
Challenge
Rick P. of Wilmont, MN was curious about the radon levels in his home so he called American Waterworks to learn more about the process. We set him up with a FREE Estimate to get his home tested by our Design Specialist, Kevin Beseman. Kevin went to his home, tested his levels, and they came back extremely high. Since radon is one of the main causes of lung cancer, Rick wanted to get it taken care of right away. After Kevin wrote him up a quote and answered all of his questions, Rick decided to get a Radon Mitigation System installed in his home.
Solution
Our radon Foreman, Geno Mclain, and his crew member started the installation of the mitigation system by drilling a hole through the concrete floor of the basement. The purpose of this was to form a suction point for the radon gas. They ran the piping up the basement wall, to the outside of the home, and up to the roof. Geno installed a fan at the top of the PVC pipe to make sure that the radon gas was being pushed up and away from the home. The installation took less than a day to complete. Rick's radon levels went down and improved dramatically. He felt much safer in his home and was grateful we were able to assist him and his home needs!
