Radon Gas Mitigation Photo Album: High Radon Levels Reduce in Bismarck, ND

Radon is a dangerous gas that is made from uranium. In fact, it is the second leading cause of lung cancer for non-smokers in the US. Since it is an odorless and invisible gas, it can break down, dissolve into the air, and can get into homes. He went on Angie's List to find a local contractor that could serve him and his needs. He came across American Waterworks and read a little bit about our company. With that said, he called our office line and scheduled a radon test inspection with our Design Specialist, Richie. Richie went to his home and brought a charcoal test, which uses activated charcoal to absorb the radon gas in the air. The test results came back with high radon levels, so Scott followed through with the project and scheduled a day to get his Radon Mitigation System installed.  Our Foreman, Ryan, and his production crew began the installation by introducing themselves to the homeowner and ensuring all of their questions were answered before starting anything. After a thorough introduction, our team created a suction point in the concrete basement floor. From there, our team connected the PVC piping up through the top of the ceiling all the way to the outside of the home. Outside of the home, our team installed the fan, which is the Radon Mitigation System itself. Our systems are specifically made to pull radon from inside of the home and let it out of the home. To complete the project, our team sealed the basement floor cracks, which reduces the amount of radon that enters the home in the first place.
