Radon Gas Mitigation Photo Album: Radon Mitigation System Installed in Eitzen, MN

A female homeowner in Eitzen, MN wanted to get her home tested for radon to ensure she was breathing safe, healthy air in her own home. She saw an American Waterworks advertisement in her local phone book, so she called our office line to set up a FREE estimate to get her radon levels tested. Our Design Specialist went to her home, told the homeowner about our test system which is called a Continuous Radon Monitor. A couple of days later, the test came back with high levels, so she decided to go ahead and get a mitigation system installed.  Our Foreman and his crew member started the radon installation by creating a small hole in the concrete basement floor, which served as a suction point for the system to pull radon from under the cement. From there, the homeowner connected PVC piping from the suction point through the attic to the outside of the home, where they installed our Radon Mitigation System. This system is the heart of the installation. If the mitigation system does not work, the radon will not be able to escape the home. From the Mitigation System, our team installed more PVC piping from the system alongside the side of the house and past the roof, to give the radon an exit into the open air.
