New WaterGuard and Sump Pump in Waukon, IA

A homeowner in Waukon, IA, frantically searched for a professional to help them with their flooded basement. After a quick search, the homeowner contacted the first company on their list, American Waterworks. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was made, the homeowner awaited the arrival of Rick, one of our Design Specialists. As soon as he arrived, Rick went to the basement and looked for the source of the water. Rick found where the water was sneaking into the home. Once they found the source, Rick could create a solution that would permanently solve their issues. The homeowner knew this was their best option, so they agreed with Rick's suggestions. The plans were sent to our Foreman, Jeromy, and his crew, so they could start the project. As soon as they arrived, the crew prepped the basement for the WaterGuard installation. The WaterGuard is a below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. The crew installs the WaterGuard by digging channels around the perimeter of the basement floor. Once the channels are dug, the crew can go ahead and place the drainage stone in the channels. The WaterGuard is then placed on top of the stone and covered with cement. Once the WaterGuard is in place, the crew could shift their focus to removing the old sump pump and replacing it with the SuperSump+. The crew installed a feedline across the floor to connect the SuperSump+ to the new WaterGuard. Once the SuperSump+ was properly connected, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was grateful for the excellent work completed by the crew. If you find water in your basement, sign up for your FREE estimate today!

Complete Basement Repair in Postville, IA

Following a heavy rainstorm, a homeowner in Postville, IA, had a hunch they needed to inspect their basement. The homeowner grew alarmed after discovering finding several water spots and stains throughout their basement. Concerned about the long-term damage, the homeowner immediately began looking for the best waterproofing company in their area. After looking into "Iowa basement repair", the homeowner was a tad shocked to see American Waterworks, a Minnesota-based company, at the top of the list. Impressed with our services and recent projects, the homeowners knew they wanted to work with us. Next, the homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. We sent one of our Iowa-based Design Specialists, Brady, to the home and inspect the struggling basement. Brady arrived at the home, introduced himself to the homeowner, and began his thorough investigation of the basement. During his investigation, Brady discovered the foundation was weakening, which was contributing to the flood issues. Once Brady found the problem, he was able to provide them with a solution that would repair the issues. The homeowners agreed with Brady's proposal, so he passed the plans along to our office to build the project. Once built, the project proposal was sent to our Foreman, Juan, and his crew to begin production. Juan and his crew arrived at the home and started the project by installing the WaterGuard system. Once the WaterGuard is in place, the crew could shift their focus to removing the old sump pump and replacing it with the TripleSafe. The crew installed a feedline across the floor to connect the TripleSafe to the new WaterGuard. Next, the crew shifted their focus to installing GeoLock Wall Anchors to the basement wall. The crew installs the GeoLocks by digging a section of the ground to place the first GeoLock anchor. Once the GeoLock is in place, another anchor is attached to the interior wall. Both GeoLocks are connected by a small, steel pole direct through the ground. Once the GeoLocks are secured, the soil is put back on top of the ground. Along with the GeoLock installation, the homeowner asked that the tightening kit be included as well. This will allow the homeowner to straighten their walls over time. Finally, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know their basement was properly waterproofed and stabilized.
