A homeowner from Argusville, ND was beginning to notice her floor was starting to bow. Because she knew there was a crawl space below, she had concerns about the structural integrity of the home. When she called in, we set her up with our FREE estimate, and a few weeks later our Design Specialist, Kole, headed out to the property to assess the damage. Once he completed his walkthrough, he was able to make recommendations as to how we could help. Kole wanted to use our SmartJacks to address the bowing wood in the crawl space. He explained that our SmartJacks are unique in that they are made with strong, corrosion-resistant, galvanized steel. Because your system will not develop rust, it will remain adjustable for years, should you need to perform future adjustments. The homeowner agreed with the recommendations and work began a few weeks later.

Our Foreman, Zach, and his team work diligently to install 8 of our SmartJacks throughout the space. Once the job was completed, our customer was happy to know that she no longer had to worry about the strength and safety of her crawl space.

Job Stories From Argusville, ND
Fargo, ND, Cracked, Wet Damaged Basement Repaired

A homeowner in Fargo, ND, knew it was time to repair their cracked foundation. Concerned the issue would worsen, the homeowner knew they needed to find an expert to provide them with a solution. Unsure who to work with, the homeowner asks a local Facebook group for any recommendations. Several of the members recommended working with us, American Waterworks, so the homeowner decided to take a closer look at our company. Impressed with our stellar ratings and reviews, the homeowner knew we were the ideal company for the project. The homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate, and then we sent Ian, one of our Design Specialists, to the home to begin the detailed inspection. Ian made the quick trip to the home and began the thorough investigation of the basement and foundation. During his walk-through, Ian determined the foundation was showing signs of early wall failure. Additionally, Ian discovered signs of water intrusion throughout the basement. Ian was able to provide a solution that would solve all the issues throughout the basement. First, Ian recommended stabilizing the walls with PowerBraces. Then, he recommended installing a variety of products that would prevent future flooding. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner decided to go with Ian's proposal. Once the homeowner gave their stamp of approval, the plans were passed along to our Logistics team to finalize the details. Our Logistics team received the proposal, then scheduled the project and assigned it to our Foreman, Aaron, and his crew. Aaron and his crew traveled to the home and began the installation. First, Aaron and his crew began by installing 15 PowerBraces on the foundation walls. First, the crew begins by cutting the wall braces. Next, the PowerBraces are secured into the floor joist hardware and fine-tuned into the correct position. Then, the PowerBraces are attached to the floor with a special, bolt-in-place bracket. Since the homeowners wished to include the straightening kit, they can tighten the brackets over time to gradually straighten the walls. Next, the crew shifted their focus to installing WaterGuard around the basement perimeter. The WaterGuard is a below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. The crew installs the WaterGuard by digging channels around the perimeter of the basement floor. Once the channels are dug, the crew can go ahead and place the drainage stone in the channels. The WaterGuard is then placed on top of the stone and covered with cement. Finally, the crew finished the installation by installing CleanSpace on the unfinished basement walls. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier that prevents humidity and mold growth. The crew installs CleanSpace by mechanically attaching them to the basement walls with plastic drilled-in fasteners. Aaron and his crew completed the project, so they cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was in awe of the excellent work completed by the crew. Driveway Issues Resolved in Argusville, ND

A homeowner in Argusville, ND was tired of his driveway having a bump that his car hit every time he drove in and out of the garage. He knew he wanted to find a solution that would eliminate the problem and be a faster, more durable, and inexpensive choice. The homeowner found the American Waterworks name when searching for concrete repair companies in his service area. He was initially impressed with our FREE no-obligation estimate offers and decided to sign up for his own to learn more. We received the homeowner's request and sent over one of our Design Specialists, Kole Lefebvre, to the home. Kole carried out a detailed inspection of the area and prepared his recommendations. He decided that lifting the top concrete slabs of the driveway would eliminate the bump and even out the surface again. The homeowner was happy to hear this plan and agreed to move forward with the project. On the installation day, our Foreman, Charlie Coleman, and his crew went to the site and began the project by drilling small holes throughout the slabs. They inserted ports through the holes to reach the empty space below the surface and injected our PolyLevel foam inside until it was carefully lifted to its original height. Then, the crew filled the holes in with our NexusPro sealant and also smoothed out the joints in between the slabs. Native sand was used on top of the sealant for a pleasing final look to the driveway. The result was a leveled and sealed driveway and a happy homeowner.

Unstable Crawl Space Gets Lifted in Argusville, ND

A customer from Argusville, ND was beginning to notice that the floor on the main level of her home was beginning to show signs of sagging. She was concerned that the issue was originating from the crawl space beneath the home. She wanted to make sure no further damage could be done, so she began to do some research about companies offering crawl space services in her area, and came across our website. When she called our office, we set her up with our FREE estimate. A few weeks later our Design Specialist, Kole, headed out to the property to assess the damage. Once he completed his walkthrough, he made a few recommendations as to how we could help the homeowner restore her crawl space. Kole wanted to use our SmartJacks for crawl spaces and informed our customer that the SmartJack is the solution for sagging floors and works to stabilize and level the sagging beams. He went on to say that they not only provide supplemental support to your failing structure -- they can also often lift failing floor joists or beams, restoring them to their original position. This crawl space support system is unique in that it's made with strong, corrosion-resistant, galvanized steel. Because your system will not develop rust, it will remain adjustable for years, should you need to perform future adjustments. The homeowner agreed with Kole's recommendations and work began a few weeks later.

Our Foreman, Zach, and his team work diligently to complete the installations and in the end, installed 8 of our SmartJacks throughout the crawl space of the home. Now our customer can walk on even floors and put any worries of failing crawl space beams in the past.
