Our Foreman, Domenic, and his crew traveled to the home to begin repairs. First, the crew began by installing the WaterGuard, a below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. The crew installs the WaterGuard by digging channels around the perimeter of the basement floor. Once the channels are dug, the crew places the WaterGuard in those channels. Next, the crew will cover the WaterGuard with dirt and concrete so the floor will even out again. Finally, the crew smooths out the foundation to give the floor a finished look. The crew shifted their focus to stabilizing the foundation walls. To protect the basement walls from leaks and mold growth, the crew installed CleanSpace on the lower half of the basement walls. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier ideal for unfinished basement walls. The crew installs CleanSpace by mechanically attaching them to basement walls with plastic drilled-in fasteners. After the CleanSpace was secured into place, the crew turned their attention to the PowerBrace installation. PowerBraces is a patented foundation wall repair system that is designed to stabilize basement walls and provide the potential to straighten walls over time. The crew installs the PowerBraces by cutting the steel I-braces. Next each brace is attached to a floor joist near the mudsill near the top of the wall. Then, the I-beam is fined tuned into position and the braces are attached to the floor. The homeowner was grateful for the job completed by the crew. Our Production crew arrived a few weeks later, and began the process by strategically plotting where they would place the braces. Next, they cut the PowerBrace based on the height of Jared's walls. Next, they attached each brace to a floor joist near the mudsill at the top of the wall. Next, they double checked to ensure each beam is vertical and ready for final installation. When they were confident in their measurements they attached the braces to the floor and let the PowerBraces get to work stabilizing the wall. 

In the end, our team had installed 17 PowerBraces in Jared's basement. Once the job had concluded, Jared was happy to know he no longer had to worry about the foundation of his home!
