James G in New Ulm, MN was seeing multiple signs that his foundation was failing, and it was only getting worse over time. The front of his home was sinking, multiple walls were cracked and the floor in his basement had cracks through it. One of our Design Specialists, Shane, went to his home to evaluate the problem and find a solution for James. James was concerned that he was going to have to replace the entire foundation, but Shane assured him that we could permanently repair the foundation, so he would never have to replace it. James knew how expensive replacing the foundation of a home can be, so he was pleased to hear this. Shane developed a thorough plan with him and addressed his questions and concerns. James liked the proposal that Shane developed, so they set a date for the installation.

Our production crew installed 13 push piers under the foundation of the home which transferred the weight of the home from the unstable soil to the brackets. This stabilized and lifted the settling foundation of his home. The installation took a couple of days, but James will never again have to be worried about replacing his foundation. One of our concrete repair experts, Brandon Wiskow, drilled small holes into the concrete slabs when the foam needed to be injected to effectively raise the slabs. He injected the PolyLevel foam until the slabs became a completely level surface. To finish the project, Brandon filled the cracks in the concrete with our Nexus Pro sealant. From start to finish, the process only took two hours. Rick was pleased that he found a quick, durable and more affordable alternative to traditional concrete repair. He can now enjoy a level driveway for many years to come!

Kyle in Hanska, MN had a dirt crawl space that was causing a musty smell throughout his home and causing high humidity. He spoke with one of our Design Specialists, Chad Johnson, at a local home show and they scheduled a free estimate. Chad went to Kyle’s home to inspect his crawl space and design a personalized solution. Kyle was impressed with our products and how thorough Chad was, so he chose to move forward with the installation.

Our production crew cleared the debris from the crawl space and then laid TerraBlock and CleanSpace, which keep moisture out of the space and prevents humidity. They also sprayed the rim joists with a spray foam to insulate the crawl space and make Kyle’s home more energy efficient. The installation only took a day to complete, and now Kyle is enjoying a more comfortable, healthier and energy efficient home.

Andrew M. of Springfield, MN had a cracked foundation wall in his basement, making him worry about the value and stability of his home. After doing some research online, he called American Waterworks to schedule a FREE Estimate. Our Design Specialist, Tom Ringeisen, went to his house to inspect the problem and come up with a solution. Andrew got all his questions answered, so he went ahead with the project and scheduled an installation date. 

Our Foreman, Mike Fanning, and his production team began the installation by digging five holes outside of the home and inserting a long, metal rod from the inside foundation wall to the outside hole. Next, our team tightened and screwed on a GeoLock Wall Anchor on the ends of each rod to pull back and straighten the wall into its natural position. To complete the installation, Mike and his crew backfilled the holes and replaced the soil. Andrew was excited about the work and has not encountered any problems since! 

Jacqueline from New Ulm, MN, got in contact with us when she began to notice one of the blocked walls of her garage was beginning to fail and bow inward. She was afraid that, if left alone, the wall would fail completely and do damage to the structural integrity of the garage itself, and pose a safety risk for her family. She used her FREE estimate with us and our Design Specialist, Joe, went out to the property to do a thorough inspection of the situation. When he had finished, he made his recommendation to save the rest of the wall and the garage. Joe suggested that Jacqueline invest in installing 3 of our GeoLock wall anchors. These anchors are designed specifically to deal with walls bowing inward, and will permanently stabilize your foundation wall by anchoring the wall to the hard-packed soil beyond the foundation. Once installed, these anchors can be tightened over time so your home can be stabilized as the soil beneath it settles further.

Jacqueline decided that this was the best path for her and our Foreman, Raul, and his team got to work. They began by strategically excavating three holes on the outside of the wall for one end of the anchor. Next, they marked the inside of the wall to give the outside anchor something to connect to. The crew finished by connecting the two anchors and tightening them to secure the foundation and straighten the wall. 

Once completed, Jacqueline was relieved that her garage concerns are a worry of the past.
