She started looking for contractors that could help solve her problem and she came across American Waterworks on the internet. After reviewing our waterproofing solutions, she decided we were the best fit for her.

Mac Cole, one of our Design Specialists, went onsite to give her a free estimate. He developed a plan to install WaterGuard around the entire perimeter of her basement which would then drain to the SuperSump sump pump system. Wet Basement Restored in Ionia, IA

David N. in Ionia, IA had water leaking into his basement where he kept a lot of his storage. Unfortunately, the water had caused damage to some of his belongings and it had created an unlivable space. David knew it was time to bring in a professional, so he began to research waterproofing contractors. He found American Waterworks online and was interested to learn more about our waterproofing systems, so he set up an appointment for a FREE onsite estimate. Our Design Specialist developed a thorough plan to fully waterproof David’s basement. The CleanSpace vapor barrier also protects from water that could leak through the wall. This unique combination of waterproofing products ensures that David’s basement will remain a dry, clean space. Wet Basements Gets Transformed in Nashua, IA

Dorothy B. in Nashua, IA had water in her basement for two years and her basement was starting to smell very musty. She was concerned about the air quality in their basement and the damage it was causing to their property, so she contacted American Waterworks to receive a free estimate. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Pete Wangen, to her home to inspect her basement and design the right waterproofing solution. She appreciated the time that Pete spent with her to make sure he addressed all of her concerns, so she scheduled the installation.

Our production team installed our WaterGuard drainage system around the perimeter of the basement and a TripleSafe sump pump in the corner. The WaterGuard now properly guides water to the sump pump and from there the water is expelled from the home through the discharge line. Radon Mitigation in Fargo, ND

Radon is the first cause of cancer among non-smokers in the United States, and over 20,000 Americans die from radon-related lung cancer each year. Breathing radon gas is a greater health risk than ingesting water that contains radon, and it's a greater health risk to children than to adults.

Krystal V. of Fargo, ND was curious about the radon levels in her home so she did some research on HomeAdvisor to find a local contractor that could help her. She came across American Waterworks and found out that we perform in that kind of work and provide FREE Estimates for all of our services. She called our office line and set up a FREE Estimate to get her home tested by our Design Specialist, Ian Schultz. Ian went to Krystal's home, tested her levels, and notified her that the results came back high. To make sure the air she was breathing was and is safe, she decided to get our Radon Mitigation System installed in her home, so she signed the contract and wrote a deposit check.

Our Foreman, Geno Mclain, and his crew member started the Radon Mitigation installation by drilling a hole through the concrete floor of the basement. The purpose of doing that is to form a suction point for the radon gas. Our crew ran the piping up through the basement wall, to the outside of the home, and up to the roof. Geno installed a fan at the top of the PVC pipe to make sure that the radon gas was being pushed up and away from the home. The installation took less than a day to complete. Krystal's radon levels went down dramatically. She was much happier living and breathing in her home knowing that she was living in a much safer environment.

Foundation Gets Stabilized in Alta Vista, IA

A homeowner in Alta Vista, IA, had been dealing with a bowing wall and was worried that if they didn't act soon, the problem might be more expensive to fix. After doing their research and speaking with friends and family, they decided to pursue American Waterworks to see if we could get the repairs done. They called our office and we set them up with our FREE, no-obligation estimate. A few weeks later, one of our Design Specialist headed out to the home to complete a thorough walkthrough. Once he concluded, he informed the homeowner that they did the right thing by getting in touch with us, because they were correct, their foundation was displaying signs of failing. He went on to say that he recommended the use of our GeoLock Wall Anchors to address the foundation issue. He explained that permanently stabilize your foundation wall by anchoring your walls to the hard-packed virgin soil beyond your foundation. He went on to say that after installation, wall anchors can often be tightened over time to further straighten your foundation walls and pull them back to their original position. The homeowner agreed to the recommendation and the work was scheduled to be completed a few weeks later.

When our Foreman, Dylon, and his team arrived a few weeks later, they made quick work of the installations. They began by verifying the Design Specialists' measurements in the space. Next, they dug out the spots for the exterior wall anchors. Then, they began working inside to place the interior anchors. Next, they ran the steel beam through the exterior anchor to connect the exterior anchor. They ended the project by tightening the wall anchors to the appropriate degree and backfilling the exterior holes.  When the project was complete, the homeowners were thankful that they no longer had to worry about their foundation!

Repaired Sunken Driveway in New Hampton, IA

A homeowner in New Hampton, IA, was driving into their garage when they noticed a large bump. Unsure of the cause, the homeowner decided to take a closer look to find the cause of the issue. After looking around, the homeowner found that their driveway and garage were two different levels. Concerned this could cause major damage, the homeowner knew they needed to find a permanent solution. The homeowner looked into "repair sunken driveway near New Hampton, IA" and they came across our website. After seeing our impressive ratings and reviews, the homeowner knew we were the best choice for their project. Since they were already on our website, the homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of Brad, one of our Design Specialists. Brad arrived at the home and started his detailed walk-through of the outside concrete. During his inspection, Brad determined the concrete was sinking due to settlement. To stop the settlement from continuing, Brad recommended lifting the driveway, sidewalk, and garage with PolyLevel. The homeowner wanted to avoid replacement, so they agreed with Brad's recommendations. Next, Brad passed the plans along to our office to build the project. Once the project was built, it was assigned to our Foreman, Patrick, and his crew. Next, Patrick and his crew traveled to New Hampton and began the project. First, Patrick and his crew began by installing PolyLevel underneath the sidewalk, garage, and driveway. The PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam injection solution that restores the appearance and safety of the concrete. The crew started by strategically drilling small holes throughout the slab. Then, the crew inserts ports into those small holes. Next, the polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill voids and raise the slabs. Finally, the holes and control joints are sealed. Once the PolyLevel injection was finished, the crew shifted their focus to filling the cracks and replacing the joints. The crew utilized NexusPro Sealant, a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and withstand harsh weather conditions. The crew begins by drilling, smoothing, and preparing the non-absorbent backer rod filler. Then, the NexusPro sealant is inserted in the prepared crack or control joint. Finally, the cracks are detailed with a thin layer of native sand, giving the concrete a uniform, finished appearance. The crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was grateful for the excellent work completed by the crew, so they left a kind review. If you are experiencing a similar issue, sign up for your FREE estimate today!

Vapor Barrier and Insulation Installed in New Hampton, IA

A homeowner in New Hampton, IA, noticed their floors were beginning to sag. Knowing they could not repair the issue themselves, the homeowner began looking into crawl space repair companies near them. While scrolling through Facebook, the homeowner came across one of our eye-catching social media advertisements. Interested in learning more, the homeowner clicked on the ad and was taken to our website. After reviewing our impressive crawl space stories, the homeowner knew we were the best company for the job. Since they are already on the website, the homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of Ryan, one of our Design Specialists. Ryan arrived at the home and began his thorough investigation of the crawl space. During his inspection, Ryan confirmed the crawl space needed to be fully encapsulated. After hearing Ryan's recommendations, the homeowner knew this was the best option for their family. Ryan sent the proposal to our Logistics team to build and schedule the project. Our Logistics team finalized the project, then it was assigned to our Forman, Kiko, and his crew. Kiko and his crew traveled to the home and began the encapsulation process. First, Kiko and his crew cleared the crawl space. After the crawl space was cleared, Kiko and his crew laid Drainage Matting on the crawl space floor. The CleanSpace Drainage Matting gives the water flooding into your crawl space a channel below your crawl space liner. One member of the crew begins by laying the drainage matting while another puts one over the top. This is a very efficient and swift installation process. After the CleanSpace Drainage Matting is installed, the crew can go in and install CleanSpace on the crawl space walls. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier that prevents humidity and mold growth. The crew installs CleanSpace by mechanically attaching them to the basement walls with plastic drilled-in fasteners. Next, the crew shifted their focus to attaching Foamax to the crawl space walls. Foamax is a foam-insulated panel with a white foil finish on the front and a foil vapor barrier on the back. After all the products were installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know their crawl space was professionally encapsulated.
