SmartJacks is an adjustable supplemental support system used for sagging crawl spaces. Additionally, SmartJacks are made with strong, corrosion-resistant, galvanized steel. Next, the crew shifted their focus to encapsulating the crawl space. Arturo and his crew began by laying the Drainage Matting on the crawl space floor. The CleanSpace Drainage Matting gives the water flooding into your crawl space a channel below your crawl space liner. One member of the crew begins by laying the drainage matting while another puts one over the top. This is a very efficient and swift installation process. After the CleanSpace Drainage Matting is installed, the crew can go in and install CleanSpace on the crawl space walls. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier that prevents humidity and mold growth. The crew installs CleanSpace by mechanically attaching them to the basement walls with plastic drilled-in fasteners. Finally, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. Once the GeoLock is in place, another anchor is attached to the interior wall. Both GeoLocks are connected by a small, steel pole direct through the ground. Once the GeoLocks are secured, the soil is put back on top of the ground. Along with the GeoLock installation, the homeowner asked that the tightening kit be included as well. This will allow the homeowner to straighten their walls over time. Once all the products were installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. They first worked to prep the area for installation and cleaned out any unnecessary debris. The crew drilled a hole and filled it tightly with compacted crushed stone which supports the aluminum base. Next, they sized the steel column to fit the size that the homeowner's house needed and adjusted accordingly to tighten into place. Finally, they laid a layer of drainage matting which allows air and water to move under freely and installed a fresh layer of CleanSpace on top to finish out the job. The successful installation led to a pleasing result for the homeowner and his family to continue living without possible harm to their home's structure.
