The office finalized the plans, so they assigned the plans to our Foreman, Roel, and his crew. After they received the plans, they traveled to the home and started the project. The crew installed a total of 19 PowerBraces, seven on the east and west walls and five on the south wall. PowerBraces is a wall repair system that is designed to stabilize failing basement walls and provide the potential to straighten walls over time. First, the crew begins by cutting the wall braces. Next, the PowerBraces are secured into the floor joist hardware and fine-tuned into the correct position. Then, the PowerBraces are attached to the floor with a special, bolt-in-place bracket. Once the PowerBraces were secured, the crew could clean up their materials and leave the home. GeoLock is our innovative wall anchoring system. The crew installs the GeoLocks by digging a section of the ground to place the first GeoLock anchor. Once the GeoLock is in place, another anchor is attached to the interior wall. Both GeoLocks are connected by a small, steel pole direct through the ground. Once the GeoLocks are secured, the soil is put back on top of the ground. Along with the GeoLock installation, the homeowner asked that the tightening kit be included as well. This will allow the homeowner to straighten their walls over time. After the GeoLock Wall Anchors were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam injection solution that restores the appearance and safety of the concrete. The crew started by strategically drilling small holes throughout the slab. Then, the crew inserts ports into those small holes. Next, the polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill voids and raise the slabs. Finally, the holes and control joints are sealed. After the crew completed the PolyLevel installation, they cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was happy with the excellent work completed by the crew. Our Foreman, Patrick Burnes, and his team installed 11 of our GeoLock Wall Anchors. To begin the process, our team dug 11 holes outside of the home and inserted a long, metal rod from the inside of the foundation wall to each hole outside of the home. At the end of each rod, our crew tightened and screwed on a GeoLock Wall Anchor. Our wall anchor system will stabilize a foundation wall by anchoring the walls to the compact soil beyond the foundation. Over time, wall anchors can be tightened by the homeowner to further straighten the walls. To complete the project, our crew backfilled each hole and replaced the soil, making sure the yard looked neater than when they found it. Kristina was happy with the installation!
