The resident heard wonderful things about us, American Waterworks, so they decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. When the estimate was set, the resident prepared for the arrival of James, one of our Design Specialists. Once James arrived, he began by inspecting the entire basement and trying to find the source of the issue. After completing a thorough investigation, James discovered the sump pump needed to be replaced. James alerted the resident of the findings and recommended replacing the sump pump. Wanting to keep the church dry, the resident agreed. James directed his plans to the office and they sent them to the assigned crew. Our Foreman, Kingsley, and his crew were assigned to complete the project. Kingsley and his crew arrived at the home and they began installing the WaterGuard along the wall footing. The WaterGuard is our patented below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. The crew starts by digging channels near the foundation footing. Once the channels are dug, the crew clears out the debris and places the WaterGuard. Next, the crew covers the WaterGuard with drainage stone and then finishes it with cement. After the WaterGuard was secured into place, the crew shifted their focus to installing the new SuperSump+, our economical and effective solution. The crew ties the WaterGuard into the new SuperSump+ system. Next, the crew attached the CleanSpace, a waterproof plastic vapor barrier that is ideal for unfinished basement walls. The crew installed CleanSpace by mechanically attaching them to your basement walls with plastic drilled-in fasteners, so it does not fall off. Once the CleanSpace was installed, the crew completed the project. Finally, the crew attached an IceGuard, an anti-freeze fitting that is installed on the outside of your home and ejects water away from the foundation. The crew successfully installed all the products, so they cleaned up the basement and left. The resident was thankful for the wonderful work completed by the crew. Grand Forks, ND, Sidewalk Lifted

A homeowner in Grand Forks, ND, tripped while walking on their sidewalk one evening. Worried that someone else would get injured, the homeowner knew they needed to find a professional solution. Unsure where to look, the homeowner looked at the Better Business Bureau website. At the top of the list was us, American Waterworks, so they decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once their estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of James, one of our Design Specialists. James arrived at the home and began his detailed inspection of the sidewalk. Following his thorough inspection, James suggested lifting the sidewalk and two slabs of the driveway. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner agreed and the plans were approved by the office. Our Foreman, Charlie, and his crew were assigned to complete the project. Once they arrived at the home, they started by lifting the sidewalk and driveway. To lift the driveway the crew used PolyLevel. The PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam injection solution that restores the appearance and safety of the concrete. The crew started by strategically drilling small holes throughout the slab. Then, the crew inserts ports into those small holes. Next, the polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill voids and raise the slabs. Finally, the holes and control joints are sealed. Once the PolyLevel injection was finished, the crew shifted their focus to filling the cracks and replacing the joints. The crew utilized NexusPro Sealant, a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and withstand harsh weather conditions. The crew begins by drilling, smoothing, and preparing the non-absorbent backer rod filler. Then, the NexusPro sealant is inserted in the prepared crack or control joint. Finally, the cracks are detailed with a thin layer of native sand, giving the concrete a uniform, finished appearance. After the project was complete, the crew cleaned up their items and left the home. The homeowner was thankful to know the tripping hazard was eliminated. If you are suffering from a similar issue, sign up for your FREE estimate today!

Weaken Foundation Saved by SmartJacks in Emerado, ND

A local church in Emerado, ND, knew they were suffering from structural issues in their home. Concerned it could cause serious, long-term damage, the homeowner began looking into the expert foundation and structural repair companies near them. Since they were a few hours from Fargo, the church searched for companies based there. After looking at the Better Business Bureau, they noticed American Wateworks' 5-star reviews and ratings. The church decided to call our Appointment Center and sign up for their FREE estimate. After the estimate was finalized, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Ian, to the home to begin the inspection. Ian arrived and he began inspecting the status of the foundation and crawl space. Following his inspection, Ian confirmed the home was suffering from structural issues and required repairing. Ian drafted up a solution for the church and they agreed. Then, the plans were sent to the office for final approval. The office finalized the plans, and then they were directed to our Foreman, Kingsley, and his crew. Kingsley and his crew started the project by clearing out the debris from the crawl space. After the debris was cleared, the crew installed SmartJacks throughout the crawl space. SmartJacks is an adjustable supplemental support system used for sagging crawl spaces. Additionally, SmartJacks are made with strong, corrosion-resistant, galvanized steel. Next, the crew installs GeoLock Wall Anchors, our innovative wall anchoring system, along the west wall. The crew installs the GeoLocks by digging a section of the ground to place the first GeoLock anchor. Once the GeoLock is in place, another anchor is attached to the interior wall. Both GeoLocks are connected by a small, steel pole direct through the ground. Once the GeoLocks are secured, the soil is put back on top of the ground. Along with the GeoLock installation, the homeowner asked that the tightening kit be included as well. This will allow the homeowner to straighten their walls over time. Next, the crew installed the TripleSafe, one of our most reliable sump pumps in the western corner of the basement. Following the TripleSafe installation, the crew laid Drainage Matting on the crawl space floor. Drainage Matting creates a channel for water to flow to the perimeter drain or sump pump. Next, the crew installed CleanSpace along the floor, walls, and any other obstructions. CleanSpace is a heavy thick liner that acts as a vapor barrier for your crawl space. The mechanically attaches CleanSpace to the unfinished crawl space floors and walls. Finally, the crew installed Foamax on the interior and exterior foundation. Foamax is designed to control the temperatures of the walls of your crawl space and lower heating costs. Once the entire installation was complete, the homeowner cleaned up their materials and left the home. The church was relieved to know their crawl space was properly repaired.
