Waterproofed Basement in Truman, MN

Suzanne L. of Truman, MN had water leaking in her basement so she called American Waterworks to set up a Free Estimate. After an in-depth inspection, Suzanne approved of Dylan’s proposal so she went ahead and scheduled the installation date.

Our foreman, Cole Brinkman, and his production team began the installation by cutting out the entire concrete floor perimeter of the basement form a trench. On the right side of the basement, our crew installed our TripleSafe Sup Pump System, which is one of the best sump pumps we provide for our customers and has three levels of wet-free protection. The sump pump discharge line ended outside at the LawnScape Outlet; an “escape” for contaminated water to exit the basement. Next, our crew installed our WaterGuard System in the trench, which prevents water clogs and serves as an underground drain. Finally, Cole and his production team filled the empty gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. Suzanne was excited with the final product, and enjoyed her new and improved dry basement!

Basement Waterproofing Sustains Home in Granada, MN

Joanne E. of Granada, MN had water leaking in her basement and she didn't know how to take care of it herself. To resolve the issue, she called American Waterworks to set up a Free Estimate. We sent out our Design Specialist, Reed Hudson, to inspect the problem and come up with a solution. After a thorough presentation, Joanne felt comfortable with the proposal, so she went ahead and scheduled an installation date.

To begin the installation process, our foreman, Juan Pena, and his production team cut out 136 feet of concrete around the basement perimeter. After that, they applied 136 feet of our CleanSpace Wall System around the wall perimeter and used spray foam to keep it securely in place. Our CleanSpace is a vapor barrier made to prevent any mold or humidity from invading the walls and provides the basement with a bright appearance. Next, our crew installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump which is the best sump pump we have and has three levels of water protection to pump water waste out through the discharge line. To complete the installation, our production team installed our WaterGuard System in the broken-out concrete, filled the open gaps with rock, and replaced the concrete. Our WaterGuard prevents water clogs, catches water waste from beneath the CleanSpace, and provides a path to the sump pump. Joanne was absolutely thrilled about her and new improved basement, and was grateful we were able to help her!

Waterproofing Project Saves Basement in Trimont, MN

JoAnn B. of Trimont, MN had water seeping into her basement, so she called American Waterworks to learn about our basement waterproofing products. After gaining some information, she set up a Free Estimate. Our Design Specialist, Shane Nephew, went to her home to inspect the problem and come up with a solution. After a thorough inspection, JoAnn set up a date for installation.

Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his production team began the installation by breaking out the concrete around the perimeter and down the middle of the basement to form a trench. In the trench, our crew installed our WaterGuard System around the perimeter, and a feed line down the middle. Our WaterGuard serves as an underground drain and catches any water seepage from the walls. From the feed line, our crew installed our SuperSump Plus Sump Pump, designed to keep basements clean for an extended period of time. With the help of the WaterGuard and feed line, water can be pumped up and out of the basement much more efficiently. The discharge line from the sump pump leads to the IceGuard System outside of the home, made to prevent ice or snow from causing the waterproofing system to fail. To complete the project, Juan and his team filled the empty gaps with rock and replaced the broken-out concrete. JoAnn was pleased with the work that was done, and relieved she no longer had to deal with any water problems!

Crawl Space Waterproofed in Dunnell, MN

Dennis M. of Dunnell, MN had water moisture and humidity problems in the crawl space of his home, and he wanted it fixed up as soon as possible. He got in contact with our office staff at American Waterworks to schedule his FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Dylan Woitas. Dylan went to his home to inspect the problem and come up with a solution. Dennis approved of Dylan's proposal and got all of his questions answered, so he went ahead with the project.

Our Foreman, Edgar Miranda, and his production team began the project by laying down 54 feet of drainage matting on the crawl space floor. Drainage matting gives the water flooding into the crawl space a channel underneath the crawl space liner. It directs the water to the perimeter crawl space drain and sump pump system. Next, our crew installed 54 feet of our CleanSpace Encapsulation, which is made to stop moisture from passing through the floors and concrete walls. It also transforms the crawl space into a clean, dry, and energy-efficient part of the house. Dennis was happy with the work and was grateful we were able to restore his home repair needs!

Fairmont, MN, Basement Floods

A homeowner in Fairmont, MN, was shocked to discover standing water in their basement. Instead of letting the problem worsen, the homeowner acted immediately and looked basement waterproofing company to help them. The homeowner began investigating waterproofing companies in their area and one of the first companies to show up was us, American Waterworks. Knowing we respond fast, the homeowners called our Appointment Center and made their FREE estimate for the closest date. Once the appointment was made, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of Dylan, one of our Design Specialists. Upon arrival, Dylan determined that the home was flooding due to poor grading. Since Dylan knew the cause, he recommended that the homeowner fully waterproof the basement. Not wanting this issue to happen again, the homeowner agreed and production commenced. Our Foreman, Raul, and his crew arrived at the home to begin production. When they arrived the crew began by installing the WaterGuard around the entire perimeter of the basement. The crew begins by digging a small trench around the perimeter of the basement. Then, a drainage stone is placed in the trench and the WaterGuard is placed on top. Once the WaterGuard is secured into place, the crew covers it with cement and smooths it out to give a uniform finish. Additionally, a feedline was dug across the floor to ensure full protection. The crew removed the old sump pump and replaced it with the SuperSump+. On the outside of the home, an IceGuard was installed on the discharge line. The IceGuard is an anti-freeze fitting that is installed on the outside of the home and ejects water away from the foundation in case the sump pump discharge line freezes or gets clogged. Finally, the crew installs CleanSpace on all the basement walls. The crew installs CleanSpace by mechanically attaching them to your basement walls with plastic drilled-in fasteners, so it doesn't fall off. The crew completed the waterproofing installation and cleaned up their job site. The homeowners were given peace of mind knowing their basement no longer ran the risk of flooding. Failing Foundation Saved in Sherburn, MN

A homeowner in Sherburn, MN, knew it was time to have their foundation inspected by a professional. A large crack was running horizontally along the entire wall. Not sure who to work with, the homeowner asked for advice from their neighbors and friends. A large response recommended they work with us, American Waterworks. The homeowner did further research into our company and was impressed by our services, so they decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Soon after the estimate was set, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Dylan. Once Dylan arrived, he began evaluating the entire basement. Following his evaluation, Dylan alerted the homeowners that their wall was showing signs of early wall failure. To stop the failure from worsening, Dylan recommended that the wall be permanently stabilized. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner agreed. The plans were then directed to the assigned crew and preparation began. Our Foreman, Juan, arrived at the home to begin the stabilization process. First, the crew made sure the basement was cleared, so they could begin production. Once the basement was ready, the crew began installing five GeoLock anchors on the north wall. Geo-Lock wall anchors, an innovative wall anchor system that stabilizes the foundation wall by anchoring the wall to untouched soil. First, the crew excavated a small section of the lawn to insert the first Geo-Lock anchor. Then, a small steel pole is pushed through the soil to connect to the interior Geo-Lock anchor. Once the Geo-Lock anchors are connected and secured, the crew covers the hole in the lawn. Once they completed installing the GeoLocks, the crew cleaned up the site and left the home. The homeowerns were given peace of mind knowing their wall was no longer at risk of wall failure. If you are experiencing a similar issue, sign up for your FREE estimate today!

Crack Stabilized with GeoLock in Trimont, MN

A homeowner in Trimont, MN, was cleaning their basement when they noticed their once tiny crack had grown immensely. Wanting to solve the issue before it progressed, the homeowner decided to reach out to us, American Waterworks. The homeowner has worked with us in the past and knows the great work we do. Almost immediately, the homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was finalized, we sent Edgar, one of our Service Technicians, to inspect the foundation. After Edgar arrived, he started his evaluation and determined the wall was showing signs of the early stages of water pressure. Edgar warned the homeowners that the issue would quickly worsen if not fixed. The homeowners agreed with Edgar and decided to follow his plans. Once they received approval, the plans were directed to our Foreman, Juan, and his crew. Juan and his crew traveled to the home to start production. First, the crew made sure that the foundation was prepared for the installation. Then, the crew began installing five GeoLocks along the south wall. GeoLocks is our innovative wall system that anchors your foundation wall to untouched soil beyond your foundation. To start, the crew excavates a small amount of soil out of the ground to place the first GeoLock anchor. Then, the crew attached the interior GeoLock anchor to the foundation wall. To connect the two anchors, the crew runs a small, steel pole through the soil. Additionally, the crew included the tightening kit, so the wall can be straightened over time. Once the crew completed the installation, they cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowners were again thrilled with the work completed by the crew. Back Door Patio Space Restored in Fairmont, MN

In Fairmont, MN a homeowner was tired of dealing with her back door patio area. Over time it had developed many small cracks and become uneven because of the sinking concrete. She knew she wanted to find a service sooner than later that would fix the problems before they continued to get worse. Going online, the homeowner looked for concrete contractors in the Minnesota area and sifted through the results. Once she clicked into the American Waterworks website, she quickly became impressed with our concrete repair products, especially our PolyLevel foam. She was curious if it was the right choice for her concrete, so she signed up for one of our FREE estimates. We received her request and sent over Design Specialist Nate Bernard to inspect the concrete and come up with a recommendation for her. Nate explained that PolyLevel would indeed be a great solution for the concrete, and he also suggested our NexusPro to clean up the space and make it look smooth. The homeowner agreed to the project plans and was ready to have the problems gone. Our Foreman, Troy Johnson, and his crew went to the site and drilled small holes in the concrete. They inserted ports inside the holes to reach the empty space below and carried out the PolyLevel injections to lift the concrete back up. A month later another Foreman, Ryan Trogstad, arrived at the site to make the finishing touches by sealing the joints with NexusPro sealant. He also sprinkled some native sand on top of the sealant for a smooth final look and the homeowner was very happy with the results.
