A homeowner in Crystal Springs, ND, noticed damp spots throughout their basement carpet. Worried this could be a sign of major damage, the homeowner knew they needed to find a professional solution. Impressed with our high ratings and reviews, the homeowner knew we were the best fit for their job. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. After the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of Ian, one of our Design Specialists. Ian arrived at the home and began a thorough investigation of the basement and surrounding foundation. After taking a closer look, Ian confirmed that water was seeping near the walls. To stop the water intrusion from continuing, Ian recommended installing the WaterGuard along the struggling wall. Additionally, Ian suggested replacing the old sump pump. After considering all their options, the homeowner decided to go ahead with these recommendations. Next, Ian passed the plans to our Logisitcs team to approve and finalize the plans. Our Logistics team built, scheduled, and approved the project. Once the project arrived, our Foreman, Roel, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the installation. First, Roel and his crew started by putting the WaterGuard into place. The WaterGuard is a below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. The crew installs the WaterGuard by digging channels around the perimeter of the basement floor. Once the channels are dug, the crew can go ahead and place the drainage stone in the channels. The WaterGuard is then placed on top of the stone and covered with cement. Once the WaterGuard is in place, the crew could shift their focus to removing the old sump pump and replacing it with the SuperSump+. The crew installed a feedline across the floor to connect the SuperSump+ to the new WaterGuard. Next, the crew attached an IceGuard to the outside discharge line. An IceGuard is an anti-freeze fitting that allows water to escape if the sump pump discharge line freezes or becomes blocked. Once all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was delighted to know their the home was properly waterproofed and repaired. She did some research online and called American Waterworks to set up a FREE Estimate after she saw we were experts in basement waterproofing. Our Design Specialist, Dave Clark, went to her home to inspect the problem and come up with a solution. Pinney got all of her questions answered so she went ahead with the project. 

Our Foreman, Baltazar Topia, and his production team began the installation by breaking out the concrete around the perimeter of the basement to form a trench. In the trench, our team installed 118 feet of our WaterGuard System, made to collect water seepage from basement walls and prevent water clogs. Next, our crew installed our SuperSump Sump Pump System, designed to keep basements dry for long periods of time. To complete the project, Baltazar and his team covered the remaining open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. Pinney was very satisfied with the project and Baltazar educated her along the way, so she learned some new things for her future basement needs!
