A homeowner in Shoreview, MN, noticed their sidewalk was uneven and becoming a trip hazard. Worried this would become a serious issue, the homeowner knew they needed to find an expert to provide them with a solution. The homeowner looked into “heaving concrete repair near me” and one of the first companies to populate was us, American Waterworks. After seeing our award-winning concrete lifting and leveling services, the homeowner knew we were the ideal company for their project. Since they were already on our website, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Tony, to take a closer look. Tony promptly arrived at the home to begin the estimate. During his inspection, Tony confirmed the sidewalk was sinking. Tony recommended lifting the sidewalk back to its original position. The homeowner agreed with Tony’s recommendations, then Tony passed the proposal to our Logistics team to build and schedule the project. Our Logistics team built and scheduled the project for a few weeks later. Once the project date arrived, our Foreman, Patrick, and his crew traveled to the home to begin. First, Patrick and his crew started by installing PolyLevel underneath the sidewalk.  Once the sidewalk was properly lifted, the crew shifted to repairing the crack with NexusPro. After the cracks were repaired, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home.  The homeowner was grateful to know the tripping hazards were eliminated. American Waterworks is happy to provide their homeowners’ peace of mind.

A homeowner in Shoreview, MN, noticed multiple issues with his basement, such as weeping walls, standing water and efflorescence, a white residue caused by salt deposits left behind from evaporated water leaks. Worried those issues would lead to permanent damage to his home, he decided to search for "basement waterproofing near me" and found our website. After browsing our website, the homeowner was impressed with our 5-star reviews and decided to schedule his FREE estimate.

In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Daniel R., arrived at the home to assess the basement. He informed the homeowner that one of the common causes of a damp basement is a failed footing drain. When this becomes clogged and fails, water saturates the soil surrounding the foundation. Water then enters through cracks in the wall, between the footing and the wall, or under the footing. During Daniel's inspection, he noticed that the current sump pump was out of date and kept it in mind when he designed a proposal for the homeowner. Daniel recommended our WaterGuard, a below-the-floor perimeter drain system that effectively collects water at the perimeter of the basement and sends it away, CleanSpace, a vapor wall barrier that stops water vapor from permeating the walls, IceGuard, our discharge line system that will not freeze unlike traditional discharge lines, and Zoeller M53 pump that is capable of removing 2,220 gallons of water per hour. After reviewing Daniel's proposal, the homeowner happily agreed to move forward with the project.

In about a month, our Field Supervisor, Cole B., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew began by attaching 74ft of the CleanSpace vapor wall barrier to the basement walls using drilled-in fasteners. Then, the crew installed 74ft of WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement and ensured it was connected to the sump pump system. They also installed 1 IceGuard before replacing the pump with our Zoeller M53. After the crew was done with the installation, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Fallen Insulation in Crawl Space Insulated in Shoreview, MN

A homeowner in Shoreview, MN, recently learned that a properly insulated crawl space could save up to 20% on energy bills and decided to take a look at hers. She noticed that the insulation had fallen and some parts of the wood had rotted. She decided to look into crawl space encapsulation and found our website. After browsing our website, she decided to schedule her FREE no-obligation estimate.

In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Mitch S., arrived at the home to inspect the crawl space. Mitch then created a design and proposal with suggestions on how to repair the homeowner's crawl space. Mitch recommended installing our CleanSpace, a vapor wall barrier that is designed to prevent water from permeating the walls and floor, Drainage Matting, an extremely durable matting that creates a drainage space and thermal break between the ground beneath the crawl space and CleanSpace, and SmartDrain, would drain water away to a dry well under the CleanSpace liner. After the homeowner reviewed Mitch's proposal, she decided to move forward with the project. Mitch's design was then sent to our Foreman to carry out the installation.

In a couple of months, our crew arrived at the home for the installation. They began by first installing the SmartDrain and 396sqft of Drainage Matting. Lastly, they installed 480sqft of CleanSpace over the floor and walls. Once they were done with the installation, the crew cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Sunken Concrete Repair in Shoreview, MN

A homeowner in Shoreview, MN, noticed their sidewalk slabs were beginning to overlap. Worried this issue would worsen, the homeowner knew they needed to find a solution. Knowing they could not complete the project themselves, the homeowner began looking into “sunken concrete repair near me”. At the top of the list stood us, American Waterworks, so the homeowner decided to take a closer look. Impressed with our five-star ratings and reviews, the homeowner knew we were the best concrete lifting and leveling in their area. The homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate and we sent one of our Design Specialists, Tony, to take a closer look. Tony promptly arrived at the home and began the thorough inspection of the sidewalk. Tony confirmed the sidewalk was sinking into the ground and needed to be lifted back into place. The homeowner agreed with Tony’s proposal and decided to go along with it. Next, Tony passed the proposal to our Logistics team to build and approve the project. Our Logistics team finalized the project’s details, then scheduled it for the following weeks. Once the project date arrived, our Foreman, Patrick, and his crew traveled to Shoreview to lift the sidewalk. First, Patrick and his crew lifted the sidewalk with PolyLevel. The PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam injection solution that restores the appearance and safety of the concrete. The crew started by strategically drilling small holes throughout the slab. Then, the crew inserts ports into those small holes. Next, the polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill voids and raise the slabs. Finally, the holes and control joints are sealed. Once the PolyLevel injection was finished, the crew shifted their focus to filling the cracks and replacing the joints. The crew utilized NexusPro Sealant, a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and withstand harsh weather conditions. The crew begins by drilling, smoothing, and preparing the non-absorbent backer rod filler. Then, the NexusPro sealant is inserted in the prepared crack or control joint. Finally, the cracks are detailed with a thin layer of native sand, giving the concrete a uniform, finished appearance. Once all the products were secure, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was delighted to know their sidewalk was properly lifted and leveled back into place.
