The best solution for a wet basement is to act quickly. The longer standing water remains in your basement, the more likely mold is to develop. Fortunately, American Waterworks is ready to make timely basement waterproofing repairs.

It's easy to see what the negatives of having a basement waterproofing problem are, but some homeowners might feel that they can deal with these issues rather than seek help. The truth is that not only can a wet, humid basement create more damage than you might expect, but a dry basement can also provide a lot of value to your home.

A waterproofed basement is easy to finish, and even if you aren't planning on finishing your basement, you'll still be able to use it for storage.

Crawl space encapsulation can keep your home mold-free

Just like basements, water and moisture can infiltrate a crawl space and lead to mold and rot. And when crawl spaces have vents or are left totally open to the outside, other problems, like variable temperatures and critters, can start to take their toll on your home.

American Waterworks installs CleanSpace crawl space repair and encapsulation products to prevent crawl space mold and moisture. Using a crawl space vapor barrier, doors, and access wells to help seal the space, we'll keep your crawl space separate from the rest of the world. We also offer crawl space versions of our sump pumps, drainage matting, dehumidifiers, and insulation to make your crawl space dry and temperate.

Foundation repair and concrete leveling

Is your foundation showing signs of settlement or wear? Your foundation is not only the crucial basis from which the rest of your home gets its structural integrity, but it's also a major focus point when you go to sell your home - and if it's in bad shape, you'll have a hard time selling. In addition to our basement waterproofing expertise, American Waterworks is also a foundation repair expert with the tools and techniques needed to solve common foundation problems. These problems include:

  • Bowing walls and wall cracks
  • Floor cracks and uneven floors
  • Sagging crawl spaces
  • Foundation heave
  • Sticking windows and doors
  • Collapsing retaining walls

And oftentimes, these products will completely mitigate the initial signs of damage - your walls will straighten and cracks will become invisible. With the assistance of Foundation Supportworks, a foundation repair dealer network, we know we can restore value to your home.

When concrete slab settlement is the brunt of your concern, we can help with concrete lifting and leveling services. PolyLevel® is an award-winning concrete leveling technique, and it is vastly superior to traditional methods like slab jacking. After doing some research into a variety of companies, the homeowner decided to work with us, American Waterworks. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. After the estimate was finalized, the home awaited the arrival of Darin, one of our Design Specialists. Darin arrived at the home and started the detailed analysis of the basement. Kiko and his crew made their way out to the home to begin the installation. They began by unloading and prepping the basement for production as soon as they arrived. He didn't want to put off the project for another year, so he went online in search of a solution. He looked up "concrete repair MN" to see what company names were near him that could help with the repairs and found the American Waterworks website. Our name stood out to him because of our positive reviews from customers and FREE no-obligation estimates. On the day of the project, our Foreman, Dylon VanCanneyt, and his crew went to the site and began the process by drilling small holes throughout the concrete slabs and stoop. Next, they inserted ports through the holes to reach below the surface of the concrete and filled it in with PolyLevel solution. He decided to do his research about what could have caused the issue and companies in the area that could help him fix the issue. Once he found our website, he was delighted to find that we offer FREE, no-obligation estimates and decided to book an appointment. A few weeks later, we sent our Design Specialist, Aidan, out to the home to assess the concrete and see what could be done.

Once Aidan's inspection had been completed, he informed the homeowner that, unfortunately, sinking concrete is an all too common problem. He went on to say that concrete can sink for various reasons such as excess rain, excess heat, or poor compaction when the slab was poured. He reassured the homeowner that we could fix the issue by using our PolyLevel lifting and leveling solution to raise the slabs, eliminating gaps and restoring the curb appeal of their home. The homeowner agreed with the proposal of the work and the project was scheduled to begin a few weeks later.

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Jordan, arrived at the property and got right to work. First, Jordan verified the sunken areas and strategically drilled holes into the problem slab. Next, he inserted the PolyLevel into the holes, closely monitoring the lifting process to ensure no under or over-correction was made.
