Once it was given the final stamp of approval, the plans were assigned to our Foreman, Aaron, and his crew. After they arrived, Aaron and his crew began the waterproofing installation. First, the crew started by installing WaterGuard around the basement perimeter. The WaterGuard is a below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. The crew installs the WaterGuard by digging channels around the perimeter of the basement floor. Once the channels are dug, the crew can go ahead and place the drainage stone in the channels. The WaterGuard is then placed on top of the stone and covered with cement. Once the WaterGuard is in place, the crew could shift their focus to removing the old sump pump and replacing it with the SuperSump+. The crew installed a feedline across the floor to connect the SuperSump+ to the new WaterGuard. Next, the crew shifted their focus to installing CleanSpace on the unfinished basement walls. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier that prevents humidity and mold growth. The crew installs CleanSpace by mechanically attaching them to the basement walls with plastic drilled-in fasteners. Finally, the crew completed the inspection by installing an IceGuard to the outside discharge line. An IceGuard allows water to escape if a sump pump discharge line freezes or becomes clogged. Once the crew arrived, they began by breaking down the concrete wall and inspecting the homeowner's current system. The crew realized it was usable and decided they would tie it to the new Waterguard. The Waterguard is a custom-designed drain that helps resist clogs and keep your basement dry. Then, the crew went around the perimeter of the basement and dug a shallow channel to place the WaterGuard in. Once the WaterGuard was in place, the crew installed the SuperSump pump into the home. Per the homeowner's request, an IceGuard was installed on the outside of the home. An IceGuard is an anti-freezing fitting that is installed outside your home and ejects water away from the foundation. After all the products were installed, the crew finished by covering the WaterGuard channels with cement. The homeowners were content with the results achieved by the crew.
