The homeowner showed Ryan to the basement and he noticed several signs of water damage and intrusion throughout the basement. Once he completed his inspection, Ryan was able to provide the homeowner with a solution to their waterproofing issues. The homeowner agreed with Ryan's suggestions, so he passed the plans to the office to be approved. Once approved by the office, they were passed along to our Foreman, Kiko, and his crew. Kiko and his crew traveled to the home and began the waterproofing installation. First, they installed WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement. The WaterGuard is a below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. The crew installs the WaterGuard by digging channels around the perimeter of the basement floor. Once the channels are dug, the crew can go ahead and place the drainage stone in the channels. The WaterGuard is then placed on top of the stone and covered with cement. Once the WaterGuard is in place, the crew could shift their focus to removing the old sump pump and replacing it with the SuperSump+. The crew installed a feedline across the floor to connect the SuperSump+ to the new WaterGuard. Once the WaterGuard and SuperSump+ were secured, the crew attached CleanSpace to the unfinished basement walls. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier that prevents humidity and mold growth. The crew installs CleanSpace by mechanically attaching them to the basement walls with plastic drilled-in fasteners. Finally, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home.
