Once the plans were approved, they were sent to our Foreman, Franklin, and his crew. Next, Franklin and his crew traveled to the home and started the project. First, Franklin and his crew installed 13 GeoLock Wall Anchors along three of the foundation walls. The crew installs the GeoLocks by digging a section of the ground to place the first GeoLock anchor. Once the GeoLock is in place, another anchor is attached to the interior wall. Both GeoLocks are connected by a small, steel pole direct through the ground. Once the GeoLocks are secured, the soil is put back on top of the ground. Along with the GeoLock installation, the homeowner asked that the tightening kit be included as well. This will allow the homeowner to straighten their walls over time. After the GeoLock Wall Anchors were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know their basement was secure from possible failure. First, Kingsley and his crew began by installing WaterGuard along the struggling wall. The WaterGuard is a below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. The crew installs the WaterGuard by digging channels around the perimeter of the basement floor. Once the channels are dug, the crew can go ahead and place the drainage stone in the channels. The WaterGuard is then placed on top of the stone and covered with cement. Once the WaterGuard is in place, the crew could shift their focus to digging and installing a feedline to connect to the current sump pump system. Next, the crew installed CleanSpace on the unfinished basement walls. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier that prevents humidity and mold growth. The crew installs CleanSpace by mechanically attaching them to the basement walls with plastic drilled-in fasteners. Once the CleanSpace was installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was delighted with the excellent work completed by the crew. The old pump was then replaced with the new SuperSump Plus pump and a discharge line, which leads the pumped water up and outside of the house. Finally, the crew made the finishing touches and laid fresh concrete on top of the WaterGuard system for protection and a cleaner look.
