This concrete patio slab has sunk nearly 3" over time, causing water to pool near the home's foundation and a 3 inch void between the concrete and landscaping block of the attached staircase.  Our Team was able to raise the concrete patio slab over 4 inches with our trusted PolyLEVEL System to allow for proper drainage after it rains and raised the staircase enough to fill the initial void.

Ray L. in Worthington, MN was concerned about two large cracks from the top of the foundation to the bottom on one wall in his home. While researching foundation repair options, he contacted American Waterworks for a FREE estimate. We sent our Design Specialist, Dylan Woitas, to his home to inspect the foundation and provide Ray with a solution.

Ray was happy with Dylan’s proposal and the PowerBrace™ Wall Repair System that we offer. He set a date with our production crew to install the adjustable steel I-beam system which stabilized the tilting wall and over time will force the wall sections back to their original position. The PowerBraces do not require outside excavation, so it is less invasive than other foundation repair options. It’s anti-corrosion zinc coating will keep them looking like new for decades to come!

John S. of Worthington, MN had water leaking into his basement and cracked foundation walls, making him feel nervous about water moisture and the structural build of his home. He did some research online and came across American Waterworks. He called our office staff and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Eric Hazelton. Eric went to his home, examined the problems, and came up with a solution that fit his home repair needs. John was confident in Eric's proposal, so he went ahead with the project.

Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his production team began the project by cutting out the concrete floor perimeter with a jackhammer, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System, which is made to prevent water clogs, serve as an underground drain, and collect water leakage from basement walls. Next, our crew installed our CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier, which is made to prevent humidity and mold build-up, cover any holes or divots, and provide the room with a neat and clean appearance. Lastly, Juan and his team installed our foundation repair PowerBraces. Our PowerBraces are made to stabilize failing basement walls and provide the potential to straighten walls over time. PowerBraces can be tightened over time to make bowing or tilting walls straighter and more vertical. To complete the project, our team covered the open floor gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. John was thrilled with the project!

Job Stories From Worthington, MN
Basement Waterproofed in Worthington, MN

A homeowner in Worthington, MN was concerned about the condition of the sump pump in his basement after he noticed some water damage done to the concrete floors. He knew this wasn't a good sign and wanted to catch any issues with the pump sooner rather than later, so he went online and looked up "wet basement waterproofing contractors" with hopes of finding a service in his area. The American Waterworks company name stood out to him because of our FREE estimate basement waterproofing appointments, so he signed up for his own. Our Design Specialist, Kevin Beseman, arrived at the home later to inspect the basement and speak more with the homeowner. Kevin suggested waterproofing the basement with some of our quality products, including a new SuperSump Plus pump. The homeowner trusted that the installations were the best decision for his basement, so he agreed to them. Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his crew went to the site and began the project by jackhammering channels along the perimeter of the basement. Then, they partly filled the channels with drainage stone, the WaterGuard drain system, and more clean stone. They also connected a feed line from the drains to the new SuperSump Plus pump that was installed for the water to safely travel from. Next, the crew fastened CleanSpace vapor barrier to the walls to direct water leaking from the walls to the drains below and to brighten up the room. Finally, the crew poured and smoothed a layer of concrete over the WaterGuard drains and around the pump for a clean and pleasing look to the space that the homeowner was very happy with.

Waterproofing Was Worth it in Worthington, MN

In Worthington, MN a homeowner was concerned about the condition of his basement after a heavy storm that had happened. When he took a look at the space later, he found just what he was worried about. Multiple puddles of water had formed on the concrete floors and had already caused some damage to his belongings. He decided to find a solution to prevent it from happening again in the future and started his search on basement waterproofing companies. During his search he came across the American Waterworks website and was impressed with our past jobs done for other customers and our FREE estimates. He scheduled one for himself and we sent over Design Specialist Lance Schmidt to give his recommendations for the space. Lance arrived at the home and knew what needed to be done and the homeowner was happy to move forward and schedule a day and time for installations. When Foreman Victor Salvador and his crew went to the site, they began the process by jackhammering channels along the base of the walls. Next, they placed a layer of drainage stone in the channels along with the WaterGuard drain system and more clean stone. Then, they connected a feed line for the water to go through from the drain to the new TripleSafe sump system. The CleanSpace was also installed to cover the walls for any future water vapor near the walls to move down to the drain. Finally, the crew placed a layer of concrete on top of the WaterGuard system and around the TripleSafe pump to hold the products in place and provide extra protection. The crew cleaned up the space after installations had finished and left the site in great condition. The homeowner was thrilled with the results and grateful he had contacted us to waterproof his basement.

Flooded Basement in Worthington, MN

A homeowner in Worthington, MN, frantically searched for a waterproofing solution after discovering water in their basement. Unsure of who to work with, the homeowner looked for the best waterproofing company near them. After comparing multiple companies, the homeowner decided to work with us, American Waterworks. The homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate and awaited the arrival of Ryan, one of our Design Specialists. Ryan arrived at the home and began looking into the homeowner's concerns. Once he completed his inspection, Ryan recommended installing the WaterGuard, SuperSump+, and Aprilaire. The homeowner agreed with Ryan's suggestions and production commenced. After the plans were finalized, our Foreman, Jeremiah and his crew were assigned to complete the project. They drove to the home and started by installing the WaterGuard on the south and east wall. The WaterGuard system is our patented below-floor drain that rests in a drainage bed on top of the foundation footing. The WaterGuard is mainly used as a drain system due to its resistance to water clogs, easy access ports, and ability to collect leaking water. The crew dug channels around the perimeter of the basement and then placed the WaterGuard in those channels. Once in place, the WaterGuard is covered with rocks and cement. Next, the crew installed the SuperSump + Pump System. This sump pump is designed to keep basements dry and healthy for long periods, even during heavy water intrusion. Following the SuperSump+ installation, the crew installed an Aprilaire in the home. The Aprilaire is a dehumidifier that creates healthy air and can reduce the number of viable viruses in the air. Once the Aprilaire was installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know their basement was properly waterproofed. Waterproofed Basement in Worthington, MN

A homeowner in Worthington, MN, was concerned after discovering water had snuck into their basement. Overwhelmed by worry, the homeowner wanted to find an expert to provide them with an efficient solution. After a quick online investigation, the homeowner came across the highly-rated American Waterworks. The homeowner trusted our award-winning waterproofing products, so they decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. As soon as the estimate details were finalized, Eric, one of our Design Specialists, was sent to the home to provide the homeowner with some answers. Once Eric arrived, he greeted the homeowner and looked at their concerning wall. Eric looked at the foundation well and recommended having the walls permanently stabilized. The homeowner agreed with Eric's recommendations, so he sent the plans back to the production team. Our Foreman, Jeremiah, and his crew were assigned to complete the project. When they arrived at the home, Jeremiah and his crew began by installing the WaterGuard around the entire basement. The WaterGuard is a below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. The crew installs the WaterGuard by digging channels around the perimeter of the basement floor. Once the channels are dug, the crew can go ahead and place the drainage stone in the channels. The WaterGuard is then placed on top of the stone and covered with cement. After the WaterGuard was installed, the crew took out the old sump pump and replaced it with the SuperSump+. To connect the SuperSump+ to the WaterGuard, the crew installed a feedline across the foundation floor. The crew installed the IceGuard, an anti-freeze fitting, on the outside discharge line. After all the products were properly installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was put at ease knowing their basement was no longer a flooding risk.
