Crawl Space Waterproofed in Gilby, ND
Challenge
Water seepage through crawl space walls and floors is a problem for many homes. If it's left untreated, a wet crawl space can be damaged by mold, termites, and wood rot.
A homeowner in Gilby, ND had water seeping into their crawl space causing water moisture and humidity levels. They called American Waterworks and scheduled a FREE Estimate with one of our Design Specialists. Our Design Specialist went to their home, inspected their crawl space, and came up with a solution that was best for the homeowner. They went ahead with the repair and scheduled an installation date.
Solution
Our Foreman and his production team installed our SuperSump Plus M53 Sump Pump in the crawl space which is made with two pumps and keeps spaces dry and healthy for extended periods of time, even in times of heavy water intrusion.
In a situation like this, another thing that a homeowner can do is get our crawl space vapor barrier installed to encapsulate the space. The purpose of this is to prevent moist exterior air from entering the crawl space and condensing on the crawl space surface.
