A Pine Island, MN, homeowner was doing laundry when she noticed a large crack in her foundation, running the length of the basement. Upon further investigation, she found that the wall was compromised in several areas. Not wanting the issue to worsen, she began searching for a reputable foundation company in Pine Island, MN. One night, she was watching TV and saw one of our ads. She decided to call us, set up her FREE estimate, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Darin S, headed out to the home.
Once Darin completed his inspection, he met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. Darin informed the homeowner that she was right to contact us. He went on to say that while the problem seemed daunting, American Waterworks could easily address the issue using our GeoLock wall anchors. This unique foundation wall anchor system is designed with galvanized steel, allowing for long-term corrosion resistance. This system will permanently stabilize your foundation wall by anchoring your walls to the hard-packed virgin soil beyond your foundation. After installation, wall anchors can often be tightened over time to straighten your foundation walls further and pull them back to their original position. The homeowner liked the sound of Darin's plan, and the job was scheduled for some time later.
On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Francisco, and his team were able to install 7 of our GeoLock wall anchors around the basement of the home.
Now our customers can enjoy their space without worries of foundation troubles!

Bob J. in Lansing, MN was experiencing water leaking into his basement. He wasn't quite sure where the water was coming from so he decided to contact a professional to inspect his basement. He called American Waterworks and we sent a Design Specialist to his home to provide him with a solution and a free estimate. During the inspection, we discovered that his basement walls had started to crack and bow inward. This was one of the entry points for the water. We also found water seeping up through the floor in one of the corners of the basement. Bob was pleased with the thorough plan that our Design Specialist developed, so he chose to move forward with the installation.
Our production crew installed our WaterGuard drainage system around the basement floor, a SuperSump sump pump in the corner and 3 wall anchors to repair the damaged foundation wall. The process took two days to complete, but now Bob's peace of mind is restored. His basement is now a dry, healthier space, and he is confident that the walls of his home are stable. He is glad he found a solution to repair his home for the long-term.

Mr Reker reached out to us in July with concerns from all the heaving, cracking and uneven concrete he was noticing around his property in Mantorville, MN.
American Waterworks was able to design a comprehensive plan to permanently lift and stabilize the sinking concrete slabs with a high-density polyurethane formula called PolyLEVEL.
A homeowner from Mantorville, MN, was down in his basement one day when he noticed a damp patch of carpet by the baseboard of one of his walls. He recalled that his area had been hit by a storm recently, but grew concerned about rainwater entering his space. He immediately took to the internet to search for 'interior basement waterproofing near me', and quickly found our website. He signed up for his FREE estimate, and several weeks later, one of our Design Specialists was headed out to the home.
Our Design Specialist got right to work assessing the basement. When he finished, he met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. First, our Design Specialist recommended our CleanSpace vapor barrier. This 100% waterproof tarp-like material gets installed directly onto unfinished basement walls. It works to trap water entering through small holes or cracks in the wall, directing it downward and into a perimeter drain, which in this case, was recommended to be our WaterGuard drain. This unique French drain gets installed below the concrete floor, atop the footing of the foundation, to keep it out of the 'mud zone' where other drains of its nature tend to clog. It works to collect the water entering from the CleanSpace, as well as water entering through holes in the floor, giving it a channel to flow freely to a disposal site like a sump pump or discharge line. Our Design Specialist had noted that the collected water had no means to exit the basement, so he recommended our SuperSump sump pump. This effective and economical pump is engineered to help keep the basement dry and healthy for extended periods of time, even in times of heavy water intrusion. The SuperSump boasts a powerful Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower cast-iron sump pump, capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head out of your basement. The homeowner agreed with our Design Specialists recommendation and signed on the spot.
On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Kiko, led his team through the successful installation of 4f6t of CleanSpace and WaterGuard, as well as 1 SuperSump sump pump. Now, our customer can rest easy knowing his water intrusion worries have been put to an end!
Connie K. of Kensett, IA had water leaking into her basement and her floor joists from above were sagging into her crawl space. She was nervous about the issues she was having, so she asked her peers what kind of contractor could help her with this specific problem. One of her friends worked with American Waterworks for their home repair needs, so they referred her to American Waterworks, so she set up an inspection. Our service technician, Mitchell Sobotta, went to her home, carefully examined the problems, and drew up a solution for her basement waterproofing and foundation repair needs. Connie was confident in Mitchell's proposal and presentation, so she signed the contract and scheduled an installation date.
Our Foreman, Lane, and his production team began the project by installing four of our SmartJacks, which are made to correct issues like sloping floors. Our SmartJacks can support more than 60,000 pounds and are galvanized to prevent corrosion. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace Encapsulation Vapor Barrier to cover the entire floor. This special barrier is made to prevent mold and humidity and transforms the crawl space into a usable storage space. Lastly, our team installed our Foamax Wall Panels around the entire basement wall perimeter. Our Foamax is designed to provide comfort and energy-efficiency while making the walls look clean and bright. Connie was very happy with the repairs and had a great experience from start to finish!
