Phil and Robin G. of Frazee, MN were having water moisture and humidity problems in their crawl space, causing mold to grow. They did some research on our website and saw we perform work in crawl space encapsulation. They called our office to schedule a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Rick Weber. Rick went to their home to inspect their crawl space and come up with a solution. Phil and Robin were comfortable with Rick's proposal and presentation, so they got an installation date on the schedule.
Our Foreman, Patrick Burnes, and his production team installed 735 feet of our CleanSpace Encapsulation. Our CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that stops moisture from passing through the floors and concrete walls. It transforms the crawl space into usable storage space and it also gives the space a neat and clean appearance. Phil and Robin were satisfied with the work and had a great experience!
David, from Bemidji, MN, was growing more concerned over the state of his crawl space. If a crawl space begins to rot, grow mold, or experience structural problems, issues can extend to all parts of the home. David wanted to understand why it was happening, ensure the issue was corrected, and restore peace of mind. After deciding on our company, we set him up with a FREE inspection. A few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Richie, headed to the property. Once he completed his walkthrough, he recommended how American Waterworks could help. Richie explained that crawl spaces will show mold, must, and wood rot, even if it is ventilation, because these vents do not work.
Our Foreman, Tanner, went out with his crew to help solve the problems of dampness and must that can lead to things like foundation issues and even radon gas. Tanner and the team cleared the space and implemented our drainage matting. This dimpled matting gets installed onto the crawl space floor, giving any excess water a route to flow through the space and be disposed of at an external site such as a drain or a sump system. The second step was our CleanSpace vapor barrier, a 100% waterproof tarp that traps any excess moisture in the space, redirecting it to the appropriate disposal site. Finally, our team added an Aprilaire dehumidifier, which creates healthy air and can reduce the number of viable viruses to less than 1% in two days when set to 50% relative humidity. This and our crawl space liner will create a drier, healthier crawl space. Our crawl space liner is made with seven layers of tough, durable material designed to withstand traffic from the homeowner and workers -- with a 25-year written, transferable warranty! David was pleased with the results and grateful his peace of mind was restored.
In Bemidji, MN a homeowner was looking to make some changes to his cabin before the winter months arrived. His main concern was the foundation landing outside of the side door that had sunken over the years. Wanting to get it fixed, he went online to find a reasonable solution because he wasn't interested in fully replacing it. He looked up foundation repair companies and came across the American Waterworks website. He was impressed with our past work and our FREE no-obligation estimates, so he signed up for his own. We received his request and sent over one of our expert Design Specialists to inspect the foundation. The Design Specialist explained that our HelicalPiers were the perfect solution to stabilize the landing and prevent it from sinking again. The homeowner agreed to the installations and was later greeted by one of our Foremen, Juan Pena, and his crew. They carefully installed the HelicalPiers and made sure the homeowner was happy with the results before leaving the home.

Bob M. of Fergus Falls, MN had a cracked foundation wall in his basement, making him worry about the structural build of his home. He did some research on our website and came across around foundation repair products. He called our office line to set up a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Chad Johnson. Chad went to Bob's home, examined his foundation wall, and came up with the solution of our GeoLock Wall Anchor System. Bob was confident in Chad's proposal and got all of his questions answered, so he went ahead with an installation date.
Our Foreman, Brian Colliton, and his production team began the process by digging five holes outside of the home and inserting a long, metal rod from the inside foundation to each hole outside. At the ends of each rod, our team tightened and screwed on a GeoLock Wall Anchor. The wall anchor system permanently stabilizes the foundation wall by anchoring the wall to the hard-packed, compact soil beyond the foundation. To complete the installation, Brian and his team backfilled each hole, replaced the soil, and made sure the yard looked neater than when they found it. Bob was very satisfied with the project and no longer has to worry about the support of his home.
Keynote for homeowners: After installation, wall anchors can be tightened over time to further straighten your foundation walls and pull them back to their normal positions.
