Our Foreman and his production team began the project by jackhammering out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Drainage System, which prevents water and mud clogs, collects water leakage from basement walls, and serves as an underground drain. Next, our team installed our FoamMax Wall Panels, which reduces the condensation for moisture protection and prevents mold and humidity. Lastly, our Foreman and his crew installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which is the best sump pump we provide for homeowners because it triples the protection, solves all three water problems in one unit, and comes with a battery back-up. To complete the project, our team backfilled the gaps with pea gravel and applied new concrete over them. Vanessa was happy with the repairs and had a great experience!

A homeowner from Stanley, WI, was dealing with a leaky, musty basement room. Each time it rained, it seemed more damage was slowly done to the room. The homeowner decided it was time to fix the issue, so he took to the internet and searched "leaky basement repairs near me". During his deep dive into local businesses, he came across our website. He was impressed with our years of service and before and after image sets and decided to sign up for one of our FREE estimates. A few weeks later, one of our Design Specialists headed out to the home to see what could be done.
Once our Design Specialist completed his inspection, he met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. First, our Design Specialist recommended the use of our CleanSpace. He explained that CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier that's perfect for unfinished basement walls. CleanSpace installs quickly, with most installations taking a day or less. Once the installation is complete, your basement will be ready to use immediately. He explained that this system works to trap water entering through the walls, directing it downward to a perimeter drain, which in this case, our Design Specialist recommended to be our WaterGuard drain. This French drain is designed to be installed below the floor slab, resting on top of the foundation footing. This keeps this drainage system out of the "mud zone", where drains can clog. Installation involves removing a section of floor around the perimeter and creating a drainage trench. Sections of WaterGuard® are then placed within the trench, resting on a bed of drainage stone, and the floor is restored. This drain works to catch water entering from the CleanSpace above, as well as any water coming up through cracks in the floor. It gives this water a channel to flow to the appropriate disposal site, which in this case, is a previously placed sump pump. The homeowner liked the sound of our Design Specialist's plan and scheduled the work for several weeks later.
On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Edgar C, and his team were able to complete the work in no time. Now, our customer can enjoy his basement knowing his water intrusion issue has been solved!
Adam U. of New Hampton, IA had water leaking throughout his basement, making him worry about water moisture and mold build-up. He called American Waterworks to learn more information about our basement waterproofing repair products. He requested a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Brandon Johnson. Brandon went to his home, inspected his basement, and provided a solution. Adam was confident in Brandon's proposal, so he went ahead with the installation.
Our Foreman, Raul Barroso, and his production team started the installation by breaking out the concrete perimeter of the basement, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System. Our WaterGuard is an underground drainage system that collects water seepage from basement walls and prevents water clogs. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace Wall System around the wall perimeter of the basement. Our CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier that is great for unfinished basements. It is pliable enough to cover uneven surfaces and it prevents mold build-up and humidity. Lastly, our team installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which provides three layers of protection and solves all three water problems in one system. To complete the project, Raul and his team covered the open gaps with rock and applied new concrete. Adam was thrilled with the work, and had a remarkable experience from start to finish!
A homeowner in Harmony, MN, was cleaning their basement when they discovered a water stain along their basement footing. Alarmed by this discovery, the homeowner knew they needed a professional to inspect the extent of the damage. The homeowner knew their neighbor had similar work done, so they asked who completed their project. Their neighbor said American Waterworks and talked about the wonderful job we did. Trusting their neighbor's referral, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. After the estimate was set, we sent one of our Service Technicians, Clay, to the home. When Clay arrived at the home, he began inspecting the basement and the already-installed products. Following his in-depth analysis, Clay recommended fully waterproofing their basement to prevent further damage. The homeowner agreed and the plans were directed to the assigned crew. Our Foreman, Raul, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. Once they arrived, the crew started by installing the WaterGuard around the entire basement perimeter. Once the WaterGuard was installed, the crew replaced the old sump pump with the TripleSafe sump pump. Moving forward, Raul and the crew installed an IceGuard on the outside discharge line. Finally, the crew put the FoamMax on the exterior foundation walls. Once all the products were installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was impressed with the crew's efficiency. American Waterworks is glad to provide another homeowner peace of mind.
